🎄 Happy Christmas to those who celebrate! I hope you all managed to have a good time with your families despite the panorama circumstances! 🎄
We’re back with another Sundays in Bed With… meme! This meme dares to ask you what book has been in your bed this morning and is hosted by Midnight Book Girl. Come share what book you’ve spent time curled up reading in bed with, or which book you wish you had time to read today!

I’m still in a bit of a holiday romance mood so I’ve decided to pick up Merry Inkmas by Talia Hibbert. I’m just on Chapter 2 so it’s still early days but I always have fun with Hibberts’ romances and I have no doubt I’ll enjoy this one too! 😌
“There’s a beast inside of me. I keep it caged. You drive it wild.”
Cash Evans has come a long way since his troubled childhood, but all the wealth he’s earned as a tattoo artist can’t fix the hole in his heart. He knows that the sweet barista who haunts his dreams is off-limits… But life doesn’t always go to plan.
”There isn’t a man on earth who could ruin me.”
Bailey Cooper is determined to learn from her mother’s mistakes. She’s seen how cruel love can be, and she’s not about to sacrifice her self-respect for a relationship. But when a bad boy with a heart of gold comes to her rescue, she finds herself wondering if this beast might just be her Prince Charming.
Will these two lost souls find a happy ending under the tree this Christmas?
Or is their love doomed to wither with the mistletoe?
Merry Inkmas is a steamy Christmas romance starring a brooding, bad boy hero and a Black, BBW heroine. Be warned: this love is hot enough to melt any winter frost!

THIS WAS MY LAST WEEK OF WORK FOR 2021!!! 😭 I was so happy by the time my last workday ended on Wednesday—it was like a weight was lifted off my shoulders. I don’t know what’s next but… I hope it’ll be better! This week my bronchitis continues to be unkind to me 😷 but the flu has left me and I’m feeling heaps better than last week!
Although my family and I don’t celebrate Christmas, my aunt who used to live in America for the last 50+ years of her life and who recently returned to Indonesia still wants to celebrate, so we had a White Elephant gift exchange on Christmas day and it was lots of fun! 😊 This weekend we also had to go up to north Bali to my parent’s hometown for a Balinese Hindu temple ceremony but we stayed in a lovely little villa so I still managed to get some sun/pool time! 😬 Getting all this pool + sun is what I’ve missed most after leaving Bali so I’m definitely soaking it in…

It’s been a fairly quiet week on the blog and I expect that it will continue to be so? I’ve had some fun doing some holiday-related book tags but I also have a few reviews to catch up on writing for all the holiday romances I’ve been bingeing lately! Here’s what I’ve managed to post this week, ICYMI:
The Joy of Christmas Book Tag
Baby, It’s Cold Outside Tag
Cover Reveal: Royal Captive by Heather Frost
ARC Review: How to Love Your Neighbor by Sophie Sullivan
#WWWWednesday: 23 December 2021
#TopTenTuesday: My Bookish Wish List
Series Mini-Reviews: Holiday Brothers Series by Willa Nash

I hope you’ve all had a good weekend and that you have a great week ahead! Take care of yourselves and of each other, friends 🖤

Sorry to hear you are under the weather, but at least you can recuperate in such a lovely spot surrounded by family.

Bronchitis *and* the flu? How miserable! Any time I get bronchitis I have zero energy and just want to sleep all the time (in addition to feeling terrible). The time at the villa sounds wonderful. And the white elephant gift exchange sounds fun! 🙂

Yeah, it definitely wasn’t the best start to the holiday season but I’m feeling much better now 😊 (thankfully, the sun really worked its magic on me lol)! I hope you’re managing to have a happy holiday season despite the panorama circumstances, Tanya!

I love that Pentatonix version of Mary, Did You Know.
I’m sorry you had to deal with both bronchitis and the flu. Ick! I’m kind of jealous of the villa and warmth right now, though. It’s snowing here.

Ugh, I can listen to Pentatonix sing Christmas songs all day every day 😂 I love them so much! I’m ngl, I’m kinda jealous of the snow cos living in the heat of the tropics gets a little draining sometimes, haha. The grass is greener, I suppose… I hope you’re enjoying the holiday season with your family, Deanna!

I’m so sorry to hear you had been sick with the flu. I’m glad you are feeling better and hopefully the bronchitis will go away soon. Coughs do love to linger, don’t they? Hope the warmth and sunshine works its magic.🤗

The bronchitis is a pain but it has calmed down a little now! Coughs really are the worst though (especially in this panorama climate when people become paranoid the minute they hear you coughing)! Hope you’re having a good time with your family this holiday season, Tessa 🥰
