We’re back with another Sundays in Bed With… meme! This meme dares to ask you what book has been in your bed this morning and is hosted by Midnight Book Girl. Come share what book you’ve spent time curled up reading in bed with, or which book you wish you had time to read today!

I’m super excited to spend my Sunday night in bed with The Bridge Kingdom! I’m buddy reading this with Julie @ One Book More and we’re speeding through it and (thankfully) we’re both loving it. This romantasy is a very binge-able read and I’m already looking forward to starting the next book in the series asap! 😂
A warrior princess trained in isolation, Lara is driven by two certainties. The first is that King Aren of the Bridge Kingdom is her enemy. And the second is that she’ll be the one to bring him to his knees.
The only route through a storm-ravaged world, the Bridge Kingdom enriches itself and deprives its rivals, including Lara’s homeland. So when she’s sent as a bride under the guise of peace, Lara is prepared to do whatever it takes to fracture its impenetrable defenses. And the defenses of its king.
Yet as she infiltrates her new home and gains a deeper understanding of the war to possess the bridge, Lara begins to question whether she’s the hero or the villain. And as her feelings for Aren transform from frosty hostility to fierce passion, Lara must choose which kingdom she’ll save… and which kingdom she’ll destroy.

Next week is my last week of work for 2021 and I absolutely can’t wait but I’m also apprehensive because I won’t be working after this week? *gulp* I know it’s for the better, especially for my mental health, but I am absolutely racked with nerves about this move! 😅
I got sick midweek and even though it’s not COVID and just a cold, I’ve been doing my best to stay home! I spent one day at my bestie’s art studio chatting and we made a gingerbread house that turned into a nightmare but we had fun. For the most part, I’ve been soaking up those rays cos Vitamin D has been helping me feel much better during the day. I feel mega spoiled having a pool at home and I’m so thankful! 😊

The blog was dominated by all the reviews for the books I’ve been reading this week. I probably should’ve scheduled this better and spread them out a bit more but with me being reluctant to get on the laptop after work hours + outside of my workdays, this was the easy thing for me to do! I’m clearly very much not a post scheduler! 🙃 On that note, ICYMI here’s what I posted this week:
Cover Reveal: Blind Pass by Teagan Hunter
Book Review: Window Shopping by Tessa Bailey
Book Review: In A Holidaze by Christina Lauren
Book Review: The Love Hypothesis by Ali Hazelwood
#WWWWednesday: 15 December 2021
#TopTenTuesday: 2021 December Possibilities
Book Review: A Not So Meet Cute by Meghan Quinn

I hope you’ve all had a good weekend and that you have a great week ahead! Take care of yourselves and of each other, friends 🖤

Having a cold is the worst! Mine has been taking it’s time but feeling much better lately. I’m glad for curbside pickup to get meds without getting everyone sick. I read The Bridge Kingdom and enjoyed it! I haven’t went on to book two yet but need to, lol.

You’re smart to stay home when you are under the weather. That’s how you catch the bad stuff, when your resistance is down. I like your gingerbread house. The little figurines are cute.

I’m so sorry to hear that you were feeling a bit under the weather! I was also sick recently and even though it wasn’t COVID, it still was not fun at all. I loved reading through this post though and absolutely love how you included a song by Finneas! 😊

You’re reminding me with your picture that I need to get out the gingerbread house for my kid. Haha. Sorry you haven’t been feeling well. I’m glad it’s not COVID. We’ve had like 3 colds in my house this fall and it is no fun. I hope yours passes quickly.

Love The Bridge Kingdom series! Hope you get over your cold quickly – we have allergies going on in my house and I love when Gingerbread houses are a mess because that’s the only kind my kids and I make LOL…they are crazy looking but so much fun! I hope you find a better job and one that doesn’t affect your mental health in a negative way. 🙂
