Sundays in Bed With… #MyWeeklyWrapUp

We’re back with another Sundays in Bed With… meme! This meme dares to ask you what book has been in your bed this morning and is hosted by Midnight Book Girl. Come share what book you’ve spent time curled up reading in bed with, or which book you wish you had time to read today!

I’m in a bit of a restless reading mood so I’ve struggled to focus on books this week/end. 😔 It’s giving me some pre-slump feels but I’m trying to push through, which means reading bits of books on rotation. Here’s what I’ve got going on so far:

I’m about 35% through Dim Stars and it’s so much fun! I love this quirky crew and I’ll be sharing my first impressions for the Storytellers on Tour book blitz starting tomorrow!

This cover kinda freaks me out? But the premise has me intrigued plus it’s so short (~90pgs), so it won’t take long to finish once I get into Games We Play!

I’m about 40% through The Bastard’s Betrayal and I’m loving Rose and Dante! I don’t know why I stopped but I think I’ll try to finish it tonight!

What are you currently reading?

This working week wasn’t particularly eventful but once my work week ended there were a few exciting things that happened:

  • I got a new bed! 😍
  • The birthday books Leslie got me from Book Depository back in May actually arrived! ❤️
  • I got my hair cut at the salon! 💇🏻‍♀️

Is it sad that getting a new bed was one of the biggest highlights of my week? Lol I don’t think I even care if it is cos I’ve done up the frame with some pretty fairy lights and its made my room feel even cosier, and ah, I love it!

After my haircut at the mall, I spontaneously approached the Gold’s Gym entrance and almost immediately regretted it when a salesperson jumped out of nowhere and pitched membership benefits at me. I’m not a big fan of gyms though I appreciate having guidance to do workouts and things like that. I’ve been thinking lots lately about how lazy and unhealthy I am not doing any form of exercise 🙈 so I was wondering if you do any home workouts and if you do, who do you follow and what workouts would you recommend?

I’ve been throwing all my money at Illumicrate this week because my subscription came in for their regular book box, I got the Afterlight subscription, and I’m geared up to throw more money at them for my most anticipated special edition boxset for the Green Bone Saga tonight. I’ve searched for a signed edition of those books for months to no avail so to say that I’m excited about this gorgeous edition would be an understatement. I really hope I get one! 😭

On that note, I think I’ve been slightly better with blog hopping this week although I’ve still kept my online time at a low. Here’s a recap of what I’ve posted this week:

  1. For the last 6 or 7 months I’ve been doing VR workouts and they are so fun and you definitely work up a sweat. Everything you do at home comes with a free trial, I think, so just experiment and see what fits you best. And, a new bed is exciting. So glad you are enjoying ❤️

  2. I do pilates at home using beginner’s pilates from Youtube. I work out for about 20 minutes and it feels great afterward. The instructor also allows you to modify the exercise if you’re having difficulty completing it 🙂
Your room looks really pretty with the new bed. I like the purple wall with the fairy lights. It looks so cozy ❤

  3. Getting a new bed is something to celebrate. It’s your place to recharge and should be a haven. I hope you enjoy many wonderful and restful nights in that bed. Yeah for new books! Funny you mention just getting them where you are. I sent one to a giveaway winner in the Philippines, which I order back in March or April, and she just got it. Crazy! Another blogger I followed talked about The Body Project, and I subscribed to that. I like their workouts a lot because they have long to short, easy to hard, and all have modifications. They have a bunch free that you can check out before you subscribe.

  4. Sleep is such an important thing so a new bed is definitely exciting!! Be proud of your joy! 😂

Did you get the Green Bone Saga box?? I managed to grab a set and I’m so excited to read it! I keep hearing loads of good things. ☺️

  5. I have started to drive to work with my bike. (Well, actually, I drive my mum’s bike to the train station, leave it there, take the train, take my bike at the place where my office is and drive it from the trainstation to the office. And the same thing in reverse in the evening. lol) I feel much better now that I do that, even though I really have to step up my game since I’m still huffing and puffing like a steam train when I arrive at my destination. But it’s fine!

Also, I’m super jealous about your new bed! We want one too, since the beam in the middle always collapses to the side whenever my boyfriend turns around in his sleep but so far we haven’t found one we like or that is seriously overpriced. Be happy about your new bed, you spend 8 hours in there every day!

  6. I’m not familiar with the books you’re reading but will check them out. And hey, getting a new bed deserves to be a highlight of one’s week. 😀 In fact, I am also looking forward to mine. I will be moving out next month and I’m using it as an excuse to buy myself a new bed. 🙂

  7. I do these walking videos by Leslie on Youtube! They have been helping me get back into exercise. I also need a haircut but finding a place and going gives me anxiety so I push it off, lol.

  8. I hate gyms and I get bored running or walking. And honestly, I don’t have a lot of time to work out an hour/day. I need to focus on college. So, I’ve been interested in trying out HIIT exercises and someone recommended Chloe Ting. She’s got a lot of workouts on her YouTube channel. I’m sticking to her 15 min full-body workouts and I’m enjoying it but I only started a few days ago.
Getting a new bed would be a great highlight in my week too, Dini! 😂
I’m hoping you got the Green Bone Saga special edition! Illumicrate usually does stunning special editions.
