We’re back with another Sundays in Bed With… meme! This meme dares to ask you what book has been in your bed this morning and is hosted by Midnight Book Girl. Come share what book you’ve spent time curled up reading in bed with, or which book you wish you had time to read today!
Earlier today I actually finished Take A Hint, Dani Brown and now I’m not quite sure what I want to read? I’m not sure if I want to pick up another romance or if I want to go something else? I’m really not sure what I’m in the mood for so I think I’m going to dabble in a few titles. Here are the few that I’m thinking of:
Have you read any of these books? Any recs? What are you currently reading?

Well, this week was a blur and I honestly can’t even say what I did because I have no clue 😂 Pretty sure I didn’t accomplish much and the days blended into one. Work was a bit of a slog and it was a struggle to feel motivated but I’m hoping that changes next week… I need to stop getting so comfortable and push myself to find a new job already! … In other news, there is no news. Hah. I ended up doing some more cookie baking this week and my brother’s trying to convince me to start selling my cookies 😅 He and his girlfriend cooked for my sister and I today for “Valentines” and they made the most delicious four-cheese macaroni bake and it was *chefs kiss*!
I kept playing a fair bit of Animal Crossing this week and did up a few more areas of the island and just had a fun time chilling on my island creeping on my villagers. 😂 My first ship, Chevre and Kidd were exercising together again, I saw shooting stars for the first time in a while, and Dom started dancing in the Festivale stage that I put down when I was redecorating one night and it was THE CUTEST thing! I love this game so much (I’m sorry if you’re sick of my weekly Animal Crossing photos LOL)!

I’m quite proud of myself because today I ended up writing four book reviews and wow, it was exhausting but also it felt so good to tick those off my list! I still have so many full reviews AND mini-reviews that I want (and need) to write but I just haven’t felt motivated lately. This lack of motivation has also extended to my book blogging and I do feel guilty for not spending more time on here other than to write my posts but I’ve just been exhausted, friends. I was told not to feel guilty because it happens sometimes and I do know that but while a part of me is just tired, I also miss interacting with so many of you! I hope this energy scoots itself on out of here soon so I can get back to some semblance of “normalcy” in my work and blogging life!

TRACK HIGHLIGHT
Stumbled across this really great cover of Taylor Swift’s “All Too Well” (a song I absolutely love)!
The simplicity of strong vocals + solo piano = ❤️
I hope you’ve all had a good weekend and that you have a great week ahead! Take care of yourselves and of each other, friends 🖤

Yay, I’m so glad you read Take a Hint, Dani Brown and I hope you enjoyed it! 😀 I’ve been in a bit of a weird slump since the beginning of the month, which is a bummer, and I think I need to cleanse my palate with something completely different like a thriller or some non-fiction. There’s so much fantasy I really want to cross off my TBR, though!
That macaroni bake sounds delicious–send me some in the post, please? I hope you have a great week of reading, Dini!

I LOVED IT, Jess! Aaah, I can’t wait for Eve’s story now and I really wanna check out the rest of Hibberts’ works! Y’know, I’ve been fighting off the slump-feels since the start of this month. I don’t know what it is about February but it always happens around this time for me 🙈 Defo would try cleansing the palate or stepping out the comfort zone for something different! Usually works for me. Or also doing buddy reads or blog tours 😂 I hope you manage to shake the slump though, Jess! Sending all the good mac bake vibes your way! 🤣😍

I loved The Night Swim – the format of interjecting the story with podcasts – and the main character is one that I would follow through multiple books if the author decided to do that. It does have a graphic but not too graphic rape scene but it’s told from an onlookers perspective and memory- hence that not too. Looks like some good choices 😍

I’ve heard great things about The Night Swim so I’m keen to check it out! Esp cos I love the podcast format but have only read YA thrillers done in that style! Thanks for the CW–defo good to know ahead of time! 🙂

I’m looking forward to checking that one out actually! I’ve always read the podcast style mystery/thriller as YA but would love to see how it’s done in an adult one! Hope you had a lovely day, Dedra ❤️

That’s so sweet that your brother and his gf cooked you guys dinner! My brother would make me, like, buttered noodles and call it a day 😅 Writing four book reviews in a day is awesome, I’d def be a bit tired after that! Also, your island is adorable – I need to start playing animal crossing more bc it’s such a relaxing way to wind down! Hope you have a great valentines! ♥♥

Haha, honestly my bro never does this so colour me shocked when he did! 😂 Definitely enjoyed it! Animal Crossing really is so relaxing and it’s a nice little part of my routine which helps me round up the day nicely before reading in bed! I just really want to finish my island now LOL hope you had a good valentines day and a great week ahead! ❤️

That’s so nice of your brother and his GF to cook you dinner. Love it! And I love your Animal Crossing pics! My girls have been playing AC a lot lately!! So fun!!
I read Mr. Right Across the Street recently. It was good – easy and light with some cute ways of communicating. I wouldn’t say it was my fave, but it was cute and perfect after reading a particularly heavy story. I hope you enjoy whatever you choose!! 🙂

Haha, it was very sweet and very much a surprise since he never usually does that stuff 😂 Glad to hear your girls are enjoying AC so much–it’s such a great game! Ooh, okay, glad to know that you enjoyed it. I have to read it for a blog tour at the start of next month so I think I might pick that up this weekend… I’m looking forward to it! It does look really cute. Hope you have a great week ahead, Julie! 😊

I know what you mean about struggling to feel motivated. I think that’s why I spent all my time outside of work (and some during work) curled up reading. Also when you want to read and you don’t know what you want to read though? Ugh, that feeling! I hope you were able to find something to enjoy. Have a great week, Dini!

Yep, the lack of motivation is really crippling sometimes 🙈 That’s also why I spend so much of time curled up reading as well! I did end up reading two of these books last night as I was fighting my insomnia (and failing cos hello sunrise)! I loved both books though so lack of sleep is worth it! Haha, have a great week too, Lisa! ❤️

Th Night Swim’s audiobook is so good! I hope you picked it up. I’ll never tire of your Animal Crossing’s pics, I love to see them! I totally get what you say about the lack of motivation, I’ve been struggling too. That’s why I’m only now commenting on your February posts, it’s so tough sometimes to keep up with everything. I hope you’re feeling better, Dini! ❤️
