We’re back with another Sundays in Bed With… meme! This meme dares to ask you what book has been in your bed this morning and is hosted by Midnight Book Girl. Come share what book you’ve been you’ve spent time curled up reading in bed with, or which book you wish you had time to read today!

I’ll be spending the rest of my Sunday in bed with Starcross Manor. This is for the next blog tour that I have coming up next week and not only do I love the cover but it sounds like a cute read as well! As a mood reader I’ve definitely been leaning towards “lighter” reads and this romance sounds exactly like what I want. I’m looking forward to snuggling under the covers and reading the night away 😊
Once upon a time, there was something called the sun… In a kingdom ruled by an evil witch, the sun is just part of a legend about light-filled days of old. Luckily for everybody in the kingdom, Siria Nightingale is headed to the heart of the darkness to try and restore the light–or she will lose everything trying.
Sixteen year-old Siria Nightingale has never seen the sun. The light is dangerous, according to Queen Iyzabel, an evil witch who has shrouded the kingdom in shadow. Siria has always hated the darkness and revels in the stories of the light-filled old days that she hears from her best friend and his grandfather. Besides them, nobody else understands her fascination with the sun, especially not her strict and demanding parents. Siria’s need to please them is greater even than her fear of the dark. So she heads to the royal city–the very center of the darkness–for a chance at a place in Queen Iyzabel’s court.
But what Siria discovers at the Choosing Ball sends her on a quest toward the last vestiges of the sun with a ragtag group of rebels who could help her bring back the Light … or doom the kingdom to shadow forever.
What are you currently reading?
Compared to the hot mess that was last week, this week was thankfully pretty uneventful. Work was a little busy and I didn’t end up reading as much as I hoped to, but it was a big improvement to the week before so I can’t complain!
One thing that I very randomly ended up doing last week was actually “re-starting” my bookstagram. Okay, maybe “re-starting” is a bit of a big statement since I’ve only posted three pictures and one video and haven’t done as much account hopping as I would’ve liked to, but… I’m posting at least? I was very active on bookstagram last year and it was really my first “in” to the book community, but I burned myself out at the end of the year and stopped posting. Kind of makes me sad since I used to love engaging so much on there but I think I put too much pressure on myself to come up with the “perfect” photos and it just frustrates me when I can’t get it right 😂 If any of you are on bookstagram and we aren’t following each other yet, I’d love to have more book lovers to follow!
Reading & Blogging Recap
My reading and blogging has been pretty average this week although I realise that while I’ve been posting more on my blog I haven’t been making enough time to blog hop. I honestly don’t know how I had the energy to post on my blog + blog hop + post on bookstagram + account hop, on top of full time work last year… But maybe doing all that is the reason why I burned out 😂 But I’m still going to try my best to get back to hopping as much as I was before.
Anyway, here’s what I posted this week ICYMI (and are interested lol):

TRACK HIGHLIGHT
I was pretty surprised when I came across this collaboration on YT when I was randomly browsing one day. I love all these artists and this song has really grown on me!
🎶 “You know that sometimes I think about us now and then / But I never wanna fall again, ah / Yo no te quisiera olvidar (Eh-eh) / Pero contigo es todo o na’ (Eh-eh) / Yeah-yeah“ 🎶
I hope everyone is managing to stay healthy and safe, and are doing well! Let me know how you’ve been in the comments below.
Take care of yourselves and of each other, friends 🖤

I actually been thinking the same! To restart my bookstagram 😀 This year I completely abandoned it. I think my lasy post was in January or maybe even last year… *facepalm*
And it’s not like I don’t take photos, cause I do since I still use them for my blog, but for whatever reason posting on Insta sounds like such a chore. I was thinking of starting with 1 picture a week and see where it takes me. 🙂

It’s definitely easy to reach the burnout point. I just don’t have the time for bookstagram but I do love all the beautiful pics!

Well as you know I tried insta for a hot minute… realised I’m rubbish at taking photos and I also dont have the energy for keeping each of my toes dipped in a different bookish pool lol! I’m a blogger first and foremost, and a twitter scroller because lol there’s ALWAYS drama on book twitter 😂😂😂
