Hello, hello and welcome back to another episode of WWW Wednesday, a weekly meme hosted by Sam @ Taking On A World of Words, which means I’ll be answering these questions:
- What did you read last?
- What are you currently reading?
- What will you read next?
Unlike last week when I set a new personal reading record, I haven’t read much since last Wednesday and only managed to finish two books. The past week has been pretty stressful with my move and I’ve had some busy evenings this week.
Vengeful (Villains #2) by V.E. Schwab ★★★★★
Didn’t think I’d love Vengeful more than Vicious but there we have it! This series is amazing and it’s everything I never knew I wanted in a sci-fi fantasy book. I love the concept of ExtraOrdinaries and some of their abilities are so killer (maybe literally). Check out my full review.
Wicked As You Wish (A Hundred Names for Magic #1) by Rin Chupeco ★★★★☆
Although I had some issues with the writing and world building (in that there was a lot to take in) I ended up really enjoying this read! I loved the concept and the alternate history modern world where fairytales and Carly Rae Jepsen all exist in the same reality. I also loved the found family vibes of the Bandersnatches and after a twisty ending, I’m keen to see what happens next! My FFBC blog tour review post will be up TOMORROW!
I started Jack Janson and the Storm Caller last night because my blog tour date is coming up this weekend (eeks!). I also plan to start reading Havenfall (ugh just look at how gorgeous that cover is) either tonight or tomorrow as my blog tour date for that is also coming up very quickly. I don’t know how time got away from me when I was seemingly on track, but with these tour dates falling so close together, I’m now feeling a tiny bit of pressure! Just gonna keep reading on 🙂
I’m planning to keep reading these blog tour reads and maybe throw in a contemporary romance or a graphic novel in between that I can consume in a day and refresh my palette. It’s a good thing that I’m in the mood for fantasy! 😂
How is your reading week going and what are you currently reading?
Love all of these covers! Happy reading!

I’ve just started Havenfall but haven’t got very far what with the big move today. But I’m hoping to tuck into it right after posting on the blog. Glad to hear you’re enjoying Venators. That’s up next for me 😀 Happy reading!

I love the Wicked as You Wish title, but I think the world building would drive me nuts. I’m glad you were able to look past it and then enjoy the book. Happy reading!

The world building was intense especially at the start. It balanced out as we went further on but yeah, it was a lot of info dumping initially 😅 I’m glad I stuck through it though! Happy reading to you as well 🙂

Thanks Ali! I think things have been so stressful because of the big move and just not having enough time to unwind with a book at the end of the day. But the move is now over so I’m hoping that I can get back into the books now 😀

How gorgeous is that cover though right?! Even if I knew nothing about the book I reckon I’d still pick it up anyway just for the cover 😂
