I skipped last week’s prompt because I wasn’t feeling it but I’m back this week for another Top 5 Saturday, a weekly meme created by Mandy @ Devouring Books. This week’s topic is: books over five years old! Unless it’s a new release, I don’t usually pay attention to publication dates but thank goodness for handy dandy Goodreads because now I can look at what books were released before 2015 that are high on my TBR. I’m going to try to pick one book for each year so let’s see what we have:
2014
I’ve been wanting to read this one for a while now. It sounds so interesting and I love the cover!
2013
Color me just as surprised as you to find this scary ass book on my list, but it is and has been for a while? 🤷🏻♀️
2012
Yes, it’s non-fiction! This sounds like such an interesting read and I also really wanna watch the movie with my girl Reese Witherspoon but of course I wanna read the book first 😉
2011
I’ve been putting off reading this coz who knows when book three will ever come? 🙊 But it’s high up on my list!
2010
I had no idea this was published way back! But I don’t need a reason for wanting to read more Sanderson, right?! 🤪

Do you keep track of the year a book is published?
Are any of these also on your TBR too?

I love your picks! I had no idea Station 11 was more than five years old—I’ve been hearing people talk about it a ton recently 😊

Haha same here! People were raving about it tons on bookstagram last year so I figured it was a 2018 release 😅

So many good books on your list! I’ve been meaning to read Station Eleven for ages and I’m really hoping to get to it this year because I’m pretty sure there is an adaptation coming out soon

I wanted to read it last year but of course I never got around to it 😂 I had no idea that there was an adaptation being made! That’s awesome. More incentive to read it sooner! Hope you enjoy it whenever you pick it up 🙂

I forgot I read Wild years ago! And I’ve seen Station Eleven around and want to read it as well.

Do you remember what you thought of Wild? I’ve heard good things but I’m just hoping that it’s well-paced because NF and I don’t always jam 😅

I don’t remember what I felt about the book since it’s been awhile. But I also watched the movie, and I think I remember the movie more haha.

My mom bought me Wild years ago and I still haven’t read it. This reminded me of that. Ooops!

Oh, oops! Haha well, glad this could remind you of that 😅 I’m looking forward to giving it a try!
