#WWWWednesday: 2 September 2026

Hello, hello and welcome back to another episode of WWW Wednesday, a weekly meme hosted by Sam @ Taking On A World of Words, which means I’ll be answering these questions:

  1. What did you read last?
  2. What are you currently reading?
  3. What will you read next?

Since last week, I only managed to finish two books and I enjoyed both of them a lot!

The Unselected Journals of Emma M. Lion, Vol. 1 (The Unselected Journals of Emma M. Lion #1) by Beth Brower ★★★★☆
This title is a mouthful (lol) and it took a minute to get stuck into the story, but by the end of it, I would gladly fight for Emma! It’s witty, funny, charming, and a delight to read. I immediately went out to buy Vol. 2 and I’m sad that the other volumes aren’t yet available cos I want them asap! Check out my review.

Cemetery Boys (Cemetery Boys #1) by Aiden Thomas ★★★★☆
After years of planning to re-read this, I finally re-read it because I have the ARC for Espirítu and I’m looking forward to reading it. Thankfully, I did enjoy this re-read a lot. Still think this is emotional, comforting, and ultimately sweet. I also finally wrote a review for it (since I never did the first time around)!

I’ve got two buddy reads on at the minute!

  • The Second Death of Locke(2%) ⇢ I was meant to start this yesterday with Chris but some family things happened and I haven’t had the chance to read. I’m liking what we’re getting so far though—the yearning is peak already and I wonder if it’s requited?! 🤭
  • Malice(24%)Leslie and I are still going with our re-read and I’ve now fallen a bit behind, but I’m enjoying it a lot. I still remember nothing from the first time reading, so it’s really like reading a new book, LOL! 😂 I have so many questions, so many theories and I can feel the energy in the book shift now. I think things are going to get more intense here on out! Clearly, I’m enjoying it heaps.

I’ve got another read coming up but let’s see where the mood takes me!

What are you currently reading? I hope you’re enjoying whatever book you’ve picked up, friends!
