I spent a large part of my Sunday in bed with The Road to Tender Hearts by Annie Hartnett. I did not expect that I’d binge and finish this book today, but it happened and I loved it. It’s so so messy, definitely darkly humorous, outlandish and slightly ridiculous, but also incredibly heartwarming and hopeful. Traveling across the country with PJ, Sophie, Ollie, Luna and Pancakes was such a ride and I had a great time with them! 💜

Days are passing and there’s been nothing new with life over here. I’m quite boring really, but I’m okay with that 🙂 I can’t believe that next week is already the end of August though! Like, what?! 😱
I’ve been reading a little bit more lately and I’m proud to say that I’ve finished two books this weekend. It could’ve been three if I’d had the audiobook for another one of them, but I’ve found my happy place with gaming x audiobooks! ✨

I may have to give this book another try. The character was so vulgar in the beginning, it put me off, but I have heard it’s very heartwarming which is why I picked it up to start with.

Are you talking about PJ? Well… I can’t say that PJ became perfect by the end, but he definitely had his moments. Having the kids around helped, but their interactions were also hilarious. Hope it works better for you if you give it another go!

The beginning made me cringe, so many times and it was the main character (the man). If I know it gets better, I can work with that.
