I’ll (hopefully) be spending some time in bed today with Godkiller by Hannah Kaner. Chris and I started our next buddy read the other day and I’ve not read half as much as I wanted due to family visiting and … Gaming. 🫣 I’m really enjoying this book though—it has such a unique premise and I’m loving how it’s playing out right now.

What book do you have in bed with you this Sunday?

It was a busy but quiet week at work but things have also started to slow down with the Eid holiday coming up next week. I’m looking forward to a 3-day work week + a 5-day long weekend! I’m hoping to get a lot of reading and organizing done. Other than that, it was a pretty quiet week. I went out for a delicious Vietnamese dinner with friends on Monday and they helped me choose a blind box for the Skullpanda x My Little Pony collaboration! I was so excited when their pick got me the purple one that I wanted. 😍 It’s so cute and a lovely addition to my slowly growing collection! Then on Friday, I went out for a longish Japanese lunch with my colleagues and for desert we got this delicious Nutella french toast and just thinking about it makes my mouth water! 🤤

Also, we’ve had a lot of beautiful skies over the past couple of days as the rain has finally stopped (but the heat has picked up immensely) and I managed to capture a few of these pretty purple/pink/orange skies! 😍

    • Thanks, Anna! I don’t get out a lot but when I do, I guess I have to make it count, hehe. 😜
      I actually just started re-playing a game that I’ve been meaning to get back into… So depending on my mood, I think I might end up gaming instead of reading… I’ve also been meaning to binge-watch the new season of the One Piece live action that dropped on Netflix! I wanted to do a marathon of S1 (again, lol) and then continue through S2 but let’s see what my mood allows for, lol. 🤭 Either way, I’m really looking forward to the break!

        I was thinking the same thing, I did not start season 2 because I wanted to rewatch season 1, but while debating that, it has already come out,

  7. I’m not one to take a book to bed, but yesterday I started reading Love by the Book by Jessica George. It must be good, between yesterday and today I’m like 40% of the way through. LOL! I’m jealous of the outings and nice weather. Last Monday felt like spring, but by the end of the week we had snow flying again. UGH! Will this winter ever end?
