We’re back with another Sundays in Bed With… meme! This meme dares to ask you what book has been in your bed this morning and is hosted by Midnight Book Girl. Come share what book you’ve spent your time reading in bed or wish you had time to read today.
Hello, friends! I’ve found myself in a little situation where I don’t know what to read next. Sound familiar from 2025? The mood remains the same and it’s driving me a little batty now… 🙃 I haven’t been reading much lately, and I even have reads that I’m meant to be reading but just not latching on to. Here are the books I’m thinking of trying right now:

Have you read any of these books or if you have them on your TBR too, which would you pick up first? What book are you spending your Sunday in bed with?

Hello, friends. It’s been a minute, hasn’t it? Aside from the scheduled posts that I made up until Tuesday this week, I’ve pretty much been MIA on my blog and it was unexpected! My holiday to Sri Lanka for a friend’s wedding and the New Year involved a lot of socializing, partying, and doing things that I normally don’t do anymore, but it was great. I pretty much put all my tech away the whole time and so I think what I’m suffering from now is a massive tech hangover because trying to get back into a groove over the past few days has been a S T R U G G L E. My mind feels sluggish and my body is kind of over it, haha.
I hope this changes tomorrow because I’m back at work for the first time in two weeks, even if it feels like I’ve actually been away for months, and I already know it’s going to be all-hands full-speed immediately. 😂 I think this trip made me realise how lonely my life is here in Jakarta, but also how comfortable I’ve become in my solitude. I don’t hate it but maybe I should care a little more about how anxious and disinterested I’ve become in engaging in social settings (not counting work), lol.
I want to share pictures from my trip but I gotta be honest, I don’t even know where I’ve kept my phone right now and I don’t have any photos downloaded onto my computer, so they’ll come later! If you can’t tell, I’m still very much in lazy vacation mode. 🏝️ My brain just caught up with the fact it’s a new year a few days ago, lol.

I’m still dealing with a bit of a sensitive reading mood so I’m still just rolling with reading and not-reading on and off, lol. I am tired of this brain fog!

I hope everyone’s doing well and treating themselves with care. Have a great week ahead, friends! 💜

Good for you storing the tech and living in the moment. That’s how it’s done! I don’t think I have ever had two weeks off in a row since I left teaching, but it is hard to get back into the norm especially when you have been traveling.

I think living without your phone constantly in your hand is a great way to spend a holiday. I hope that you manage to get your brain in gear by the time you have to go to work though. it’s such a shock going back after a great holiday isn’t it. I get how being on your own a lot makes it hard to make the effort to go out and socialise. I hope that you can find things that you can do to socialise more in 2026.
I’ve not read or seen much about your three choices so I’m no help at all. Hope you enjoy whichever one you decide to pick up.

I hope you enjoy whichever book you pick, Dini, that your first day back at work goes smoothly! It’s always tough going back after having time off.
