Sundays in Bed With… #MyWeeklyWrapUp [309]

We’re back with another Sundays in Bed With… meme! This meme dares to ask you what book has been in your bed this morning and is hosted by Midnight Book Girl. Come share what book you’ve spent your time reading in bed or wish you had time to read today.

I’ve got a few reads on at the minute but I think I’ll spend my Sunday night in bed reading The Impossible Fortune. Leslie and I are wrapping up this buddy read and it has been such fun to read this series together 🙂 It’s been so easy to slip back into this fifth book. Returning to these characters feels like pulling on an old and comfy blanket over your shoulders and settling into a fluffy cosy chair by the fire. It may not be winter in the tropics, but the weather has been grey and stormy, so just as fitting! ⛈️

What book are you spending your Sunday in bed with?

My work’s final event of 2025 has officially wrapped up! It was a bookish event, which was really nice because it’s the first time we ever did something like that and partnered with a local book organization that have basically established “Little Free Libraries” in popular spots across Jakarta, and do various book events, including bibliobattles. It was interesting to see how people connect with books and to hear them speak so passionately about something that is a massive part of my life, was very nice! 😊

But I’m glad that it’s over because that was the last physical event hanging our heads and now we can officially start doing the wrap-up activities of the year. So, plenty of work still on the horizon before 2025 is out, but at least it’s all online! 🤭

I was proud to do as much reading as I’d planned to yesterday, but that changed today and I wound up spending the majority of my day slowly adding the books I’ve read to my 2025 Goodreads Challenge. I got so fed up with how many error messages I would receive in the midst of updating my read books this year, and it slowed down my progress considerably. I think I still have about 10 more books to add (more or less) but I’ve basically updated close to 90 books today! 😂 Can’t wait to get it over with, lol.

ICYMI here’s what I posted this week:

the 2025 spotify wrapped content is out and for the first time in maybe three years, a TS song was not my top listen of the year! 😂 this year, that honour goes to Ariana Grande, so here’s my #1 track of 2025.

hampstead – ariana grande

I hope everyone’s doing well and treating themselves with care. Have a great week ahead, friends! 💜

  1. That sounds like an interesting work event and one I wouldn’t mind going to if my work did something like that! As for Goodreads, my 2025 challenge is so messed up. It thinks, somehow, I’ve read so many more books than I have and I don’t even know how it got that way. I’ve kind of given up on it. I don’t know why it’s so buggy.

    • I was a bit unsure about the event at first but I’m glad that it went well and that colleagues even expressed their interest in doing something like that in the future again but with more players from the network. I can’t wait 🙂
Oh, that happened to me as well with GR and I noticed it was because some books had been marked as read twice in that year. It took me a while to figure most of it out last year, except for like one book, and yeah, I don’t know. Goodreads has definitely been frustrating and I think that’s why I had more fun updating my Notion template this year, lol. For a platform that’s used by *so many people* you’d really think they’d invest more in it…

  2. Goodreads was definitely have some sort of emotional breakdown this weekend. I had to get all my reviews in my buffer before I submitted because I kept getting error messages. It was frustrating. What a wonderful event and they had the perfect planner with you on the team.

    • Argh, I’m sorry that happened with you on Goodreads as well but I’m glad that it wasn’t just me. It was so frustrating! And yes, it really was a great event and a fun way of discussing a topic in a very different manner. I can’t wait to do it again next year (hopefully, lol)!
