Sundays in Bed With… #MyWeeklyWrapUp [304]

We’re back with another Sundays in Bed With… meme! This meme dares to ask you what book has been in your bed this morning and is hosted by Midnight Book Girl. Come share what book you’ve spent your time reading in bed or wish you had time to read today.

I spent most of my Sunday in bed finishing The Buffalo Hunter Hunter by Stephen Graham Jones. This is easily a 6-star read and it’ll probably be in my top 5, if not top 3, of the year! I’m honestly blown away by how much I loved it and how emotional it made me in so many different ways. It’s not an easy read but it’s more than worth the work to absorb and understand! Also, the vampire lore was just so freaking cool. I’m so glad I read this with Charlotte as we had a great discussion about it afterwards. I can’t wait to read more by SGJ soon!

What book are you spending your Sunday in bed with?

This last week was probably one of the busiest that I’ve had all year? Or at least, it felt that way. It could’ve also been the combination of stress + sleep deprivation (more so than usual, damn insomnia + nerves) but I felt incredibly overwhelmed. I was the organizer of my office’s strategic retreat which took place on Friday and it was a lot of work (more than I realised) but thankfully, everything went smoothly on the day. The adrenaline completely left me the minute it was over though and I started feeling ill on Saturday and have been falling asleep off and on throughout the whole weekend. Literally, just before this I fell asleep gaming! 🫣 But I guess this is my body’s way of screaming that I need REST! Can’t believe another weekend is already over or that it’s already November! What madness… 🤯

ICYMI here’s what I posted this week:

I hope everyone’s doing well and treating themselves with care. Have a great week ahead, friends! 💜

    • I was so engrossed in this read and was loathe to put it down every time real-world responsibilities (like work, lol) intruded. If I could’ve, I would’ve probably ate it up in a day! It was so not what I was expecting (although I’m still unsure exactly what that was) but SGJ has a new fan in me—at least for this book! I hope you have a great week ahead, Celeste 🙂
