I’ll be spending the rest of my Sunday night in bed reading Embrace the Serpent by Sunya Mara. This is an ARC I was excited to receive not only because it sounded amazing + the cover is stunning, but I remember enjoying Mara’s debut years ago and I’m keen to check out another book of hers. I’m just getting started so no thoughts yet!

What a week it has been! I just got back yesterday from my week away in Bali with my sister and the rest of the extended family. It has been wonderful and exhausting at the same time and I feel like I need a vacation from this vacation that’s just passed! 🤭 While we spent enough time poolside and beachside, there was a lot of moving around involved, not to mention our share of illness and injuries. Like one of my cousins aptly said (and as sad as it sounds), at one point it really felt like “we were dropping like flies!” 🤣 But despite all that, we survived the week and we’ve all flown back to our respective corners of the globe now. Here are some photos!
It’s sad to be back in Jakarta on my own and knowing that I have to get back to work tomorrow fills my gut with dread. I know that’s probably not the reaction I should be having, lol. But no matter how thankful I am to have a job and that security, I’m also really tired of the grind. 😮💨
