We’re back with another Sundays in Bed With… meme! This meme dares to ask you what book has been in your bed this morning and is hosted by Midnight Book Girl. Come share what book you’ve spent your time reading in bed or wish you had time to read today.

I’ll spend the rest of my Sunday night in bed reading Scavenge the Stars by Tara Sim. This is the next book in the Owlcrate buddy read group with Leslie, Ali, and Julie. I forgot that it’s a Monte Cristo retelling and I love that book so I’m keen to see how faithfully or differently it tells the story. I’m quite behind compared to the others so I have much to catch up on! 🫣

What book are you spending your Sunday in bed with?

It was a nice short week at work thanks to it being Eid-al Adha on Friday. My sister arrived on Friday morning and it’s been nice to have her around. We got our hair and nails done yesterday for a family photo session this morning. It was more fun than I anticipated since I normally don’t enjoy photos since I think I always look terrible in them. However, these were fun to do and I’m enjoying going through the previews! 😍

Despite being a long weekend, the days seemed to pass in a blink and I’m sad that I have to go to work tomorrow, lol. At least I only have this week until I get a week off to go to Bali for my nan’s 95th birthday and the annual family gathering when everyone comes in from all over the world for the summer holidays. It’s always nice to reunite with family who live abroad and who we only get to see once a year!

I haven’t been reading heaps this week as I’ve been really into my replay of Zelda BOTW (and not even on the Switch 2)! I need to properly sit my butt down with a book soon—hopefully, in the week ahead (or at least while I’m working out at the gym, lol).

  3. Today, I have been listening to Sunny Side Up while working outside and doing things around the house. I love those family pictures, Dini. How great to spend time with family. I hope it was an amazing weekend and that this week flies by so you can go on holiday.

    • Thanks so much, Carla! The week is and isn’t passing quickly, however that seems to work! 😂 At least we’re now almost halfway through the work week though. And yes, despite having the day be cut short after my sister fell ill post-photo session, it was a great day. I had more fun than expected doing the photos and I’m glad that we did it after years!     Ahh choosing games over reading is a guilty pleasure of mine as well 😅😂 I recently dived into Trash Goblin and it’s so relaxing cleaning and selling all those trinkets 😁

    • Thank you! Even unedited, I’ve found a few that I’m loving and that rarely ever happens cos I tend to hate myself in photos 🤭 I’m glad that it wasn’t as stressful (and awkward) as I thought it’d be, lol. And y’know, sometimes you just gotta game. I find that when I prevent myself from gaming, I end up getting more distracted while trying to read and I just waste time trying to do something I’m not in the mood for, haha. I haven’t heard of Trash Goblin before (I’m mostly a Switch girlie these days) but I looked it up and it sounds SO cute! More reason to get into Steam, lol.
