We’re back with another Sundays in Bed With… meme! This meme dares to ask you what book has been in your bed this morning and is hosted by Midnight Book Girl. Come share what book you’ve spent your time reading in bed or wish you had time to read today.

I’m spending the rest of my Sunday night in bed with Regarding the Duke by Grace Callaway. I finished this series’s first book earlier today and wasn’t very into it. Thankfully, this one is already proving to be much more enjoyable and I love the chemistry between Adam & Gabby!
What book are you spending your Sunday in bed with?

Well, my first week back at work honestly felt like a lifetime! 😂 There was no dipping my toes and easing back into things. No, it was a full-on deep-dive. I probably shouldn’t have expected otherwise… I wish the job market wasn’t so volatile and the fish were at least nibbling, but that doesn’t seem to be the case, despite the daily vacancies that I see. In other news… Well, there’s really no other news. This week felt like all the socializing I did in Japan caught up with me and now my introvert brain is screaming “cave time” on repeat. So I’ve been listening to it! 😴

I finished two books this week, which feels like a record considering how little I’ve been reading lately. Sigh. My Goodreads reminds me daily that I’m many books behind on my reading challenge goal and I’m starting to wonder if this year will be a record low for my reading. I know the year is still “young”, so to speak, but I’m not optimistic that my reading will change drastically in the coming months. It takes so much for me to focus these days because my brain feels constantly overstimulated—almost every day!— and it’s so exhausting…

twilight zone – ariana grande

I feel like the vibes of this post were a little “down in the dumps”… Sorry about that! I hope everyone’s doing well and treating themselves with care. Have a great week ahead, friends! 💜

Seriously, this is only the 4th month of the year. I cannot worry about reading challenges at this point, just trying to find good books. It’s so hard looking for a new job. It’s great that you are putting your resume out there even if nothing is happening…yet. I am too lazy to even update mine.

I feel like this year I’m more focused on the quality of my reading instead of the quantity. So I totally understand slowing down with books.

Remember that you can always cut your goal to ease a bit of stress! That might help a little xx

I often find I need a vacation after coming back from vacation. Take time to rest and relax when you get home from work. I look at challenges as personal motivation. If they aren’t motivating me, then I change them. Do what works for you. I hope you find something that you love to do, Dini. Making a change to a new job is not easy, keep trying if that’s what you want. Enjoy your upcoming week.
