Sundays in Bed With… #MyWeeklyWrapUp [272]

We’re back with another Sundays in Bed With… meme! This meme dares to ask you what book has been in your bed this morning and is hosted by Midnight Book Girl. Come share what book you’ve spent your time reading in bed or wish you had time to read today.

I’ll spend the rest of my Sunday in bed with A Song for You & I by K. O’Neill. I love Kay’s graphic novels so much! Their artwork is stunning and their storylines are sweet & heartwarming. I don’t expect this to be any different and I’m keen to cosy up with it!

What book are you spending your Sunday in bed with?

This week was a bit of a mixed bag! I fell ill on Wednesday (a stomach bug) and it kept me knocked out the whole day but apparently, my body needed it because, for the first time in a long time, I slept. I woke up feeling more tired than ever but I guess that’s to be expected, lol. It was my brother’s birthday that day but since I couldn’t get out of bed, I treated them to dinner the following night. It was nice to catch up! Despite living not that far away from each other in the same city, we rarely meet up and the last time was at the start of the month for his wife’s birthday! 😂

The end of February also marks the start of Ramadan (I do not celebrate) but for those who do: 🌙 Ramadan Kareem!🌙 I hope you have a peaceful month of fasting. Also, since it’s finally March, that means my Japan trip is “just around the corner”. 🤭 I thought it’d be fun to do a countdown timer with my weekly wrap-ups to see how long is left until I leave for Japan:

1742544361

  days

  hours  minutes  seconds

until

🛫 JAPAN! 🇯🇵

ICYMI here’s what I posted this week:

two years – rosé
i’m feeling a bit of a ballad moment

I hope everyone’s doing well and treating themselves with care. Have a great week ahead, friends! 💜

  1. Stomach bugs are terrible. At least it sounds like it moved through you pretty quickly. An exciting countdown for sure. Travel is always great, but the family being together to celebrate your sister should be extra special.

  2. Oh, dear, I had something like the stomach bug. It thankfully lasted one day only; I was so worried my baby would catch it, but thankfully, she didn’t! At least, as you said, you managed to take the much-needed sleep, and happy late birthday to your brother! 🙂

I’ve always wanted to go to Japan! The farther I’ve ever been was to South Korea, hopefully, one day, I’ll be able to visit Kyoto 🙂

I’m waiting for a deal on A Song for you and I! Enjoy it, and happy reading and listening. I like Blackpink, too 🙂

  4. Love that song by Rosé! Sorry you had a stomach but I’m glad you got a lot of rest. I wish I was going to Japan this year but instead I’m tagging along with my sister to South Korea – it will be a first for both of us but we booked a tour. So it will be interesting, she’s going there to shop (it’s a shopping tour) and for me…I’m going there to eat LOL. Hope you have a great week!

  5. I hope you’re feeling better now – stomach bugs are horrid. How exciting to have a trip around the corner – have you been to Japan before? I’ve no close trips planned, but we’re of to Amsterdam in June for a friends wedding and we were busy booking hotels this weekend. Really looking forward to it, but a bit of a wait for that still though. Also thanks for sharing you weekly track, I’d not heard of two years by rosé before and I enjoyed it – shall have to listen to some more 🙂 xo

    • Stomach bugs really are the worst but I am feeling much better, thank you 🙂 I went to Japan for the first time as an adult last year (I went the first time back in high school) and I loved it but I’m looking forward to exploring more. Amsterdam in June sounds wonderful—hopefully it’s not too hot while you’re there! I only listened to Rosé’s album for the first time this past weekend and I love her ballads, so if you’re a ballad girlie like me, I think you’ll find more to enjoy! Happy listening!

Oooh amazing I hope you have the best time exploring further!
And thank you yeah – I like warmth but not heat haha, so definitely hoping it won’t be too warm yet.
And thank you I’ve been enjoying a listen xo

  7. I’m reading The Peacemaker in bed. Although it’s not bringing my husband much peace since the light is on and he’s trying to sleep. Sorry to hear that. You weren’t well enough to celebrate your brother’s birthday on his birthday. Oh, your trip is not that far away. How fun!
