We’re back with another Sundays in Bed With… meme! This meme dares to ask you what book has been in your bed this morning and is hosted by Midnight Book Girl. Come share what book you’ve spent your time reading in bed or wish you had time to read today.

I’m spending my Sunday night in bed with The Forest King’s Daughter by Elly Blake. Julie and I realised we’re on the same blog tour for this, so we’re reading it together! We’re not far in but we’re liking it so far although we have many questions. I’m keen to see where the story goes!
What book are you spending your Sunday in bed with?

This week was much the same as always although some office drama towards the end of it soured my mood slightly. Dealing with certain colleagues can feel a bit too much like placating children and it’s tiring! 😮💨 We had two days of WFH yesterday which made the week pass by fast and slow (much like how the month passed!). Yesterday I got my first dose of the HPV vaccine and thankfully, felt no side effects except for having a very sore arm! Today was my SIL’s birthday so she invited me out with her family for some hot pot and it was so delicious. 🤤 Overall, it was an eventful week but it didn’t leave me feeling overly tired although I’m super keen to wrap up the weekend snuggled in bed!

I’m feeling perpetually behind on all the book/blog things that I keep telling myself I want to do and then never get around to doing. Mostly because I forget what I said I’d do in the first place! 😅 I’m also realising that I may have been overly ambitious with my February reading plans (tours, arcs, buddy reads, oh my…). I truly forgot this is the shortest month of the year and despite being only 2-3 shorter, those extra days make a massive difference. Oop! 🫣

I hope everyone’s doing well and treating themselves with care. Have a great week ahead, friends! 💜

Not that you are old, but I thought HPV vaccine was pre-teens through mid-20s. Maybe that is just how they are selling in it the US? Interesting. Nobody needs work drama. Me and another person in our role always say, “we’re all grown-ups here,” though, it doesn’t always feel that way. Hope February gets off to a great start for you.

I was informed here that we can take it up to 40 even… But maybe that’s just how they’re selling it here? 😅 Yes, I say “we’re all grown ups here” but sometimes it really doesn’t feel that way, lol. The drama is so petty. 🤦🏻♀️ Hope February gets off to a great start for you too!

Work drama is too common and too exhausting. I always feel like, “just do your job and leave me be.” I have no patience or tolerance for it 😂 Hope this week – this month really – goes just slow enough for you get all your bookish schedule accomplished.
