I know. I know it’s the first of February and we should probably be leaving behind all the “2024 wrap-ups, summaries, etc.,” but I couldn’t resist giving this book tag a go and I honestly don’t want to wait for that “go” to happen next year. I’ll move on after this, I swear! 😂
Funny story, when I first saw this tag on Jodie’s blog and then Chris’s blog I felt like I recognised the title from somewhere and went to look on my list of saved tags and noticed that I’d first seen it on Queen Timy’s blog back in 2022. Turns out, they’re different book tags (different prompts) with the same name! For this edition, I’m sticking with the “In 2024…My life in Books” tag created by Book’d Out.
The only rule for this tag is that you must complete the prompts using titles from the books you read in 2024. This should be interesting!

System Collapse by Martha Well
In 2024, I wanted to be…

In 2024, my family were…

More Happy Than Not by Adam Silvera
In 2025, I hope it will be…

The Time of Your Life by Sandra Kitt

And that it’s for my 2024 life in books! Even though I had so much fun doing this, it was so much harder than I thought it’d be and I questioned whether most of these made sense (I hope they do)! 😂 What do you think? How was your year in books?

This was fun! And I do think they all made sense 😂

This looks so much fun and you had some great answers. I wonder how they all made so much sense, mine probably wouldn’t and I would have to explain myself a ton.
I love how you had to clarify that no one in your family has actually killed someone 😂

Haha, that book fit the prompt so perfectly I couldn’t resist but I definitely felt the need to clarify that it is not true in the least 🤣 I’m glad to hear that they made a lot of sense because I tried really hard to make it so but I kept questioning myself about it, lol. I already can’t wait to do this again!

Since I did not see your progress or if you switched any books, everything looked great to me! It was probably a bit stressful, but fun as well.
I wonder what your family will do this year😂

What a fun tag! And seems you read the right books for most of these to make a lot of sense
System Collapse had me cackling lol

This tag made me glad that I had over 100 books to choose from because a good chunk of them did not fit the prompts! 🤣 Some were really too perfect to resist. I actually waffled on System Collapse cos it honestly feels so much more relevant to this year… But I guess it still kinda worked, haha.

Hey it’s only February!! Too early to categorise it a System Collapse!
Hope you do this as an annual feature, it’s a fun way to recap your reading haah

How lovely. Absolutely great answers. I think we would all love to be Buried in A Good Book all the time. So, well done. I doubt I’d find such great answers among my books.

Thanks, Marianne! There was a lot of back and forth and hemming and hawing on part before I decided on quite a few of these matches but the Buried in A Good Book one was one of the easiest answers for me! Hehe, who wouldn’t want to buried in a good book all the time?! 🤭

These are fun tags! I love your answers—and I agree with your comment above, System Collapse works for 2025 as well. (But I guess since it started in 2024, this is just as appropriate.)
