We’re back with another Sundays in Bed With… meme! This meme dares to ask you what book has been in your bed this morning and is hosted by Midnight Book Girl. Come share what book you’ve spent your time reading in bed or wish you had time to read today.
It’s another Sunday when I’m not sure what to read next since I finished two reads earlier today. I’m looking for something that’s more “vibes” so I think I might pick up another alien romance that a popular romance author/reader on bsky recommended! But I’m also tempted to start one of two ARCs that I need to read by early February. So let’s see which of these three fits my mood best when I get into bed tonight!

What book are you spending your Sunday in bed with?

It’s been a rather quiet week overall with nothing really happening. I’ve been very low-energy these days and I fear it’s to do with my overthinking brain still stuck in “new-year-reflection-what-are-you-doing-with-your-life mode!” 🤭 I did get new cute bread/bakery-themed keycaps this week and although they feel kinda funny to type on (they’re so round and smooth) I think the cuteness is worth it, hehe. Also, I’ve apparently been using dry shampoo wrong all this time as I never figured out why my hair never looked or felt better after spraying, but I finally learned the right way today. 😂

Other than that, I’m looking forward to the fact that we get to WFH on Monday & Wednesday next week thanks to our office’s building being closed for two national holidays. While my office doesn’t get those days off, at least we don’t have to go far for work! nothing has really happened this week!

This week was my blog’s 6th Anniversary! 🥳 I still can’t believe it’s been six years since I started doing this thing as it feels simultaneously like a short time but also forever! ♾️ I hope that I can keep this blog alive for many years to come and that many of you will still stick around for that journey too! In other news, I’ve still been reading but not reviewing and I’m not so sure why I’ve been having A Time™️ getting my thoughts down after finishing a book but I hope I can shake it off soon! In the meantime, I’m going to try writing mini-reviews again!

Seems like you’re doing great, Dini! And those keypads look so cute, I would get hungry looking at them.
Here’s to another amazing week!

I’d hate to have that keyboard, I’d want to snack even more often 😂

I am so weird about the way the keyboard feels, but those loaves are cute. Curious about the Canterbary book.

I totally feel you! That’s why I love modifying keyboards to suit sound and feel 🥰 It’s very fun! It’s been a minute since I read a book by Canterbary and I’m excited to check it out. Apparently though it’s one of the spicier books she’s written in recent times!

Happy blog anniversary!!! That’s exciting! I love those keyboard caps, so cute! I have seen people with “creamy” keyboards and I really want one. They are kind of pricey though. Also, I have a laptop so it wouldn’t quite be worth it. I do put these little silicone sleeves over my laptop keyboard to keep it safe from the kids. haha! I hope you have w wonderful week, Dini!!

Thanks, Leslie! And oooh, YES! Creamy keyboards are so lush sounding but I’m more of a thoccy girl. Just love the thoc sound (it’s a little deeper than the creamies) but I’ve got one of each (and a silent one for the office, lol). Getting into keyboards is fun but dangerous cos it’s so easy to want to keep getting more, haha. 😂 But are some great cheaper options though (especially that you’d have access to over there), lmk if you ever wanna chat more about it, hehe! Ooh, if you want to get a nice transparent keyboard sleeve that doesn’t feel like you are using a sleeve, you should check out the UPPERCASE GhostCover Ultra Thin ones. They’re so good! 😍

Thanks, Julie! I can’t believe it’s been 6 years. It’s totally wild to me knowing that I’ve been here for so long 😂 But hopefully I’ll be around for some years yet!

I’ve never found a dry shampoo that works for my extremely oily hair. Those keypads are so freaking cute!!

Dry shampoo isn’t as popular here so there aren’t many options. The ones I’ve been using are Batiste and since I’ve been applying it wrong all this time, I can’t really say whether it works the best for me. My hair is extremely oily (and thin!) too which is why I have always washed every day but I’m trying to stop that. After applying it correctly, it does feel better but let’s see if it works in the long run, lol! 😂

My hair is thin as well. I don’t think I’ve tried that brand before. If I want to keep my hair from looking oily I have to wash it everyday but I stopped doing that years ago now hoping it would help but that hasn’t helped either. Now I wash my hair everyday 2-3+ days but I have to have it in a ponytail after day 1.

I totally feel you because I’ve been the same and I’m so used to washing my hair every day that it’s so hard to not do it. But I’m really trying. So far (since this post, lol), I’ve only been able to go 2 days max between washes (still with my hair down on day 2) but let’s see how long that lasts. I hope the dry shampoo fix ends up working more than once!

Happy Blogiversary, Dini. 6 years is great and I hope you enjoy blogging for more years to come. Those key covers are so cute, but I don’t know if the roundness would work for me and my fat fingers. I hope you have a wonderful week.

Thank you, Carla! I can’t believe that it’s been 6 years but hopefully there will be many more to come 🙂 They are cute and they are fun to type on but my fingers do get tired of it after a little while cos they’re quite high compared to regular keycap sizes, lol. I need to get used to them. I hope you have a wonderful week ahead as well!

I didn’t know there was such a thing as bakery keycaps but they are adorable.
Happy Blogiversary and happy reading!

My YouTube is full of keyboard content and I saw them a couple of times in the YT shorts and thought they were adorable. Didn’t realise they sold them here and they weren’t too expensive either—winning! 😍
And thank you! Happy reading to you as well. Have a great week ahead!

Happy Blog-birthday! And I love your keycaps! I think January is always alternating between ‘I can do it’ and ‘What am I actually doing?’ 😅

Thank you! 💜 January has definitely been that way for me this year. Most of the time it’s just pure “what am I actually doing” so I guess it’s improvement since there’s an “I can do it” in there this year, LOL. I hope the month has treated you well!

Haha a little improvement is better than none! January hasn’t been bad, but hoping for February to be better – hope it’ll be better for you too!
