Sundays in Bed With… #MyWeeklyWrapUp [265]

We’re back with another Sundays in Bed With… meme! This meme dares to ask you what book has been in your bed this morning and is hosted by Midnight Book Girl. Come share what book you’ve spent your time reading in bed or wish you had time to read today.

I’m reading The Ten Thousand Doors of January with Leslie and Julie. It’s my first buddy read of the year, and I’ve had this book on my TBR for ages, so I’m glad to finally be reading it. I’ve gone for the full immersive read this time with the ebook and audio, and I love how Harrow brings memories and images to life through the sense of smell! The only thing is these chapters are SUPER long! 🤣

What book are you spending your Sunday in bed with?

The work-week has got steadily busier or maybe it’s my brain still catching up to full power mode, but I felt exhausted at the end of each day last week. It could also be that my lack of sleep has been worse than usual lately. While part of me has wanted to read, the other part of me (that won out) has been addicted to playing Cult of the Lamb. I thought I was close to completing the game but it turns out, there’s so much more. This could also be because I’ve got the Heretic Edition though. I’m having so too much fun with it.

I’m keeping this here for a while in case more people decide to migrate over to Bluesky. Find me at: dinipandareads.bsky.social! 💜

I’ve been trying to keep on top of blogging this week but I haven’t blog-hopped as much as I’d hoped to. I know I’ve probably missed tons of peoples’ wrap-ups and new years goals and challenges posts there are just so many and I think I get overwhelmed trying to see them all, haha. I’m trying to get to as many as I can though 🙂 On a random note, does anyone know if there’s a Year in Aeldia: Choose Your Own Adventure Reading Challenge this year? I tried looking on G’s YouTube and didn’t see anything but I’m also not on the readathon Discord so I don’t know if it was brought up there!

ICYMI here’s what I posted this week:

I hope everyone’s doing well and treating themselves with care.
Have a great week ahead, friends! 💜

  1. Ooo, Cult of the Lamb, you say? I’ve been interested in checking out that game. I’m currently doing *another* Stardew Valley playthrough and it is sucking up my time 😅 I’m glad you’re enjoying Ten Thousand Doors, though! As for the Year of Aeldia, G has been working on it, but she’s been having some difficult health issues (she mentioned it a on her IG). She mentioned she will hopefully have it out soon! I hope you continue to enjoy your read and your game, Dini 😊

    • Yaaaas, do it! Honestly, it did a weird thing with me where I got fully sucked in when I started but then stopped playing for a while until I randomly picked it up last week and now I’m just hooked. 🤣 It’s SO MUCH FUN. Who knew being a Lamb growing a cult following could be so entertaining?! I don’t know how comparable it is to Stardew because (oh, horrors) I still haven’t played that game! I tried it once and got so confused and intimidated by all the things people were mentioning in a Discord channel that I just gave up. I need to give it another go! OH, thanks for the update re. Aeldia!!! I know G has mentioned health issues on her YT a couple of times last year but I’m so rarely on insta, it’s no surprise I missed her mention it. I hope you’ve had a great week so far, Kerri!

      • Stardew Valley is so much fun but there is *a lot* to focus on. My first playthrough, I made barely any money because I was too busy chatting with the townspeople 😂 I would say go in and play how you want the first time and ignore all the chatter. There’s so many different ways to find enjoyment with that game! And now I’ll definitely have to check out Cult of the Lamb cause that sounds like a blast 😁

  2. It’s definitely hard getting back into the fray of work after the holidays. I hadn’t heard of Cult of the Lamb- that’s probably for the best but I’m so glad you’re enjoying it so much. Hope this week isn’t as exhausting!
