We’re back with another Sundays in Bed With… meme! This meme dares to ask you what book has been in your bed this morning and is hosted by Midnight Book Girl. Come share what book you’ve spent your time reading in bed or wish you had time to read today.

I’ll spend the rest of my Sunday in bed with Angel in a Devil’s Arms. This is the second book in The Palace of Rogues series I started last weekend. I guess I’m in a bit of a histrom mood!
What book are you spending your Sunday in bed with?

What is it about this time of year that makes me contemplate everything in life? I say ‘me’ because I don’t know whether this time of year does the same for others. Usually, it’s not that bad but my anxiety from the past week has triggered my overthinking and has left me in a bit of an overly anxious and deeply introspective mood. I’m not gonna get too melancholy about it over here but it’s safe to say that my mind has been in a funky state of late! Other than that, things have been pretty normal? Work has continued to quiet down and while I’m still working next week, I don’t expect much to get done because all the out-of-office messages and season greetings have come out in full force. 🤭 Last weekend I started watching a new anime called Beastars and I’m loving it. Legoshi is everything! 🥺 It gives “Zootopia for adults” vibes (granted, they’re still in high school, lol) and I wasn’t sure if it was my thing at first but the more I watched, the more emotional it got and I guess it fits with my current mood. Does anyone reading this watch it too?
I’m keeping this here for a while in case more people decide to migrate over to Bluesky. Find me at: dinipandareads.bsky.social! 💜

I’m not reading very fast lately but at least I am constantly reading which I’m happy about. I think I’m in a historical romance mood but I also recently finished a contemporary holiday romance and a speculative fiction featuring gods, ghosts, and family drama set in Malaysia, which I really enjoyed! I think I’m going to pick up another holiday romance or two next week.

I really hope you’re all doing okay and treating yourself with care. Let’s have a great week ahead! 💜

It’s not just you. I find myself being the same way this time of year (and around my birthday). Maybe it’s the whole idea of a year in the books and what have I accomplished? Introspection can be good and bad. Hope you have a good week!

As you know I’m not reading quickly either haha. But I started a new book yesterday: A Midwinter’s Tail by Lili Hayward. Kinda bought it on a whim and so far I really like it. It’s nice to switch away from fantasy sometimes!

I feel you lol December always gave me the funk and anxiety
Hopefully the mood dissipates soon! Working at the end of year is always a weird space- it’s nice because there’s not a lot to do but at the same time… not a lot to do 😅

I hope you’re feeling better now. December is an anxious time for me, too.
