We’re back with another Top Ten Tuesday, a weekly meme hosted by Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl.

This week’s topic is actually Books I Wish Had More/Less [Insert Your Concept Here] In Them (for example: more/less romance, more/less world building, less info dumping, more/fewer pages, more character development, fewer characters, fewer descriptions, more suspense, etc.)
But I’m going rogue!
I wish my brain was a little more “on” at the minute but it’s the end of a long work day and we’re just not there. 😅 I’ve decided to continue the “alphabet book challenge” which means we’re on to the “B’s”. This time I’ve also decided to look at books that are on my TBR and that I have high expectations for because of all the amazing things I’ve heard about them. Let’s hope these “B’s” don’t let me down! 🤭

Beach Read
Beartown
Before I Let Go
The Binding
Black Leopard, Red Wolf

Black Sun
Bloodleaf
Blood Heir
The Bone Shard Daughter
The Book Eaters

Have you read any of these books? Did you love them or did these “B’s” let you down?

I hope you enjoy all of these! I think Beach Read is the one novel by Emily Henry I did read. Her cover art is always so fun and cute that it makes you read more about the novel. 🙂

I love the title of the this post! I’m a sucker for a pun. XD
I remember really enjoying Blood Heir. but I never got around to reading the rest of the trilogy. I might have to remedy that now I’m reminded.

Hehehe, I hope I can be punny for the whole alphabet but we’ll have to wait and C 🤭🫣 (I’m gonna hide now, haha)! There was so much noise around Blood Heir pre-release and I’d been keen to check it out ever since then but never got around to it. Maybe this year!

I really enjoyed Beach Read and Bear Town and hope you do when you get to them, Dini. I have Book Eaters on my TBR, but haven’t gotten to it yet. The others are new to me, so will check them out. Nice list.

Thanks, Carla! Beach Read and Beartown are so beloved and I hope I feel the same way about them as everyone else when I eventually read them, lol. I hope you enjoy Book Eaters whenever you get to it as well!

Nice post Dini – I feel ya on some of these TTT topics! I’ll have to do this also when I need an easy post to do. I think I’ve read about half of these books on your list.

Whenever I come across the tougher TTT topics I’m like gosh darn, I really need to learn to be better prepared and it never happens 😂

Glad to know you’re starting to feel better. I hope that continues for you. And I love how you twisted the alphabet challenge this week. I hope you enjoy reading all of these when you get the opportunity.

Many went rogue yesterday but I think I’d like to come back to the prompt with more planning in the future 🤣 I hope to read Book Eaters this year… Hopefully it’ll happen, lol

I was so ridiculously excited about Beach Read cos it came out on my birthday all those years ago and I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it… *years later…* still crickets when it comes to reading it 😂 I hope you enjoy both if you ever get to them though!

I KNOW! It’s so well loved and I’m so scared that I won’t enjoy it as much as everyone else but I have a feeling I’ll be kicking myself when I actually pick it up cos “why did I wait so long?!” Like, story of my life for so many books 😂 Haha

That is literally the vibe I have for almost any backlist read I read 😅 But I completely get that, I have a few series I feel the same about! I hope you love it but no pressure, obviously!!

I loved Black Sun and was not let down by it at all. I haven’t picked up the sequel yet, but it’s one of those rare books that is stuck in my mind that I don’t think I will have to do a reread of it.
