#WWWWednesday: 17 April 2024

Hello, hello and welcome back to another episode of WWW Wednesday, a weekly meme hosted by Sam @ Taking On A World of Words, which means I’ll be answering these questions:

  1. What did you read last?
  2. What are you currently reading?
  3. What will you read next?

My reading has still been rather slow and since last Wednesday I’ve finished one book!

Brewed in Magic by Jenna Wolfhart ★★★½

It was nice to return to this cosy romantasy world and while this plot got a bit too bonkers for me at times, I still enjoyed the characters (including secondary ones) and the rivals-to-lovers romance. I loved the sound of the Travelling Tavern and the Yule Festival! 😍

The First Binding ⇢ 44%

Leslie and I are still slowly making our way through this chonkster but I’m glad to say it’s really picked up and I’m glad I didn’t DNF it. The characters go through so much and I’m curious to see where their story leads!

Trail of Lightning ⇢ 80%

I started this buddy read with Becky on Monday and she’s already done! I think I can finish the book after posting this. This pace is refreshingly fast and intense and I forgot how great this book is! I’ve got a pretty bad feeling about what’s coming though… 🫣

I’ve got a blog tour read to start and then let’s see where I go next!

What are you currently reading? Have you read any of these books or are they also on your TBR? Happy reading, friends!

    • I know! That title is what definitely piqued my interest and then I saw so many great things about the book so when I saw it going for 99p on Kindle at the start of the year, I immediately snagged it. That book title you mentioned has now immediately piqued my interest (what a title)! I’m going to go check it out now and probably add it to my TBR 😂 I hope you enjoy all your books as well, Sam!

  1. These look like some fun picks! The Judy I. Lin book has a stunning cover. I don’t think I’ve seen that one before! And I’m really curious about Everyone in my Family has Killed Someone—I’ve heard a lot of good things about it!

    • Lin’s books always have the most amazing cover. Her previous duology had a stunning one as well! 😍 There *is* quite a lot of hype surrounding Everyone in my Family but I’m trying to temper my expectations as it’s a genre that I don’t read often. I hope I love it as much as everyone else seems to—and if you pick it up, I hope you love it too!

    • Ah, no! That’s too bad. I actually should’ve started this on Saturday but I forgot and read something else, LOL. But I’ve just picked it up today (Sunday) and I’m only a few chapters in but I’m intrigued and looking forward to continuing!
