Sundays in Bed With… #MyWeeklyWrapUp [225]

We’re back with another Sundays in Bed With… meme! This meme dares to ask you what book has been in your bed this morning and is hosted by Midnight Book Girl. Come share what book you’ve spent your time reading in bed or wish you had time to read today!

I’ll be spending the rest of my Sunday night finishing Fiona and the Enigmatic Earl. I’ve been seeing Grace Callaway given so much love from the beginning of this year and I can see why. I’m obsessed with the series that I’m currently reading. It’s sexy, smart, funny and I *love* it! 😍

What book are you spending your Sunday in bed with?

Hello, out there!

After taking a very unexpected hiatus over my holiday and the week following my return to Jakarta, I’m now reemerging from the trenches! 😂 I’m honestly surprised by how much convincing it took for me to open up my personal laptop and get started on writing this post. The lazy bug has hit hard and for the past week, I’ve felt like I needed a vacation from my vacation. 🫣

Unsurprisingly, Japan was amazing. I had a great time with my sister although we definitely had our “sister fight” moments, it was still fun to see her again, to hang out and just chill. I realised how much of a non-people-person I am and I’m so glad that I had her to be the social butterfly that I no longer am, lol. Two weeks passed by in a blink and I already can’t wait until the next time I go back. March next year for my sister’s grad feels like a lifetime away so maybe I’ll do a one-week trip at the end of this year? Thankfully, it’s not too far away plus, there are usually great flight deals to be found as Indonesians love to fly to Japan on hols, lol. I’ll leave off with some photos from the trip! Long story short, I’m trying to get back into the groove of things. 😊

I had grand reading plans for Japan but I was exhausted from all the touristing and walking everywhere that I ended up knocking out fairly well each night. I barely read anything until the day before my flight back and then I started slowly bingeing Grace Callaway’s series: Lady Charlotte’s Society of Angels. It’s kind of like a historical Charlie’s Angels and I’m obsessed. If you are a histrom lover, I would recommend checking this series and author out! A new favourite, for sure. 😍

I really hope you’re all doing okay and treating yourself with care. Let’s have a great week ahead! 💜

  1. Glad you are back! I’ve missed you. Your trip to Japan looks like it was amazing. The photos are stunning. I never get a good amount of reading done on vacations because I’m always exhausted at the end of the day.

  2. Amazing pictures! I feel you with the people person thing. My sister is also the social butterfly. How long a flight is it for you to Japan? I wish I was closer because I would love to visit. I don’t know about being in a plane for 14 hours though. I hope you have a great week!

    • People-ing is tough. I think I was much more social when I was younger but since I moved back to Indonesia I’ve become less so. My flight to Japan wasn’t direct but in total it’s about 8hrs, I think? If you take melatonin on the plane and it’s a straight 14hrs and you can sleep through it, that’d be ideal! It’s worth the visit though, I’d say. It’s gorgeous 💜✨

  3. I’m glad you had such a great time in Japan! I visited a few years ago and we walked around everywhere, too! I had a FitBit at the time and I think we often walked 7 miles a day, sometimes more. You’re right–it was exhausting and sleep came quickly at the end of the day!

    • I can’t wait to go back but defo need to work on my stamina beforehand 😂 I live in a city where it’s hard or impossible to walk around so all the walking in Japan was quite a jolt to my system! I loved it though. 💜

  4. I’m glad you had such a great trip! I totally understand the feeling of needing a vacation from your vacation. I love traveling, but it’s so exhausting. There’s always so much to do, and I have a tendency to overdo it. I hope you’ve been able to get some rest. 🙂

    • Traveling is really exhausting! Don’t know how I coped when I was younger and traveled all the time 😂 I can’t wait to go back though and take my time around places cos even though I feel like I overdid it, there was still so much to see 🤭

  6. Welcome back! I am happy you had so much fun and loved the picture. I feel like sometimes a vacation after a vacation is needed to recover. I have only heard that Ariana Grande song once, but it was catchy. I’ll have to listen to it more.

    • Thanks, Deanna! I’m so very slowly getting back on the blogging horse now 🤭 I’m obsessed with Ariana’s new album! I’ve been watching reaction vids for it and it grows on me even more with each one I watch 😂 it’s so sad but so good!
