#TopTenTuesday: Quick Reads When Time Is Short

We’re back with another Top Ten Tuesday, a weekly meme hosted by Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl.

This week’s topic is Top Ten Quick Reads/Books to Read When Time is Short (Books under 150 pages, or if you’re not a novella reader maybe spin this to be books you could read in a day or a single sitting.) (Submitted by Jennifer @ FunkNFiction.com and Angela @ Reading Frenzy).

I realised after looking at my Goodreads ‘novella’ shelf that I apparently don’t read many of them. I’m sure I’ve read more than what I have on the list but who knows with my brain these days! Maybe it’s because I have a few books on there that are 160-180 pages and I count them as novellas too but I’m trying to stick to the 150 pages or less note in the prompt! 😉 I also have purposefully not added a couple novellas that I’ve read recently because they’ll be in my post next week.

But TL;DR: I need to read more novellas and want to, so I can’t wait to add more to my TBR after reading everyone’s posts today! 😃

A Dead Djinn in Cairo by P. Djeli Clark
The Wedding Setup by Sonali Dev
Sing Anyway by Anita Kelly
Silver in the Wood by Emily Tesh
Silver Shark by Ilona Andrews

The Empress of Salt and Fortune by Nghi Vo
Signal Moon by Kate Quinn
Galatea by Madeline Miller
The Missed Connection by Denise Williams
Mating the Huntress by Talia Hibbert

I loved all of these novellas and would highly recommend them. Have you read any of them or are they on your TBR? I can’t wait to see everyone’s recommendations! 😍

  1. I haven’t read any of these. In fact, this is my first time hearing about any of these books. I may have to check out some of these as it sounds like you really enjoyed all of them.

  2. This is a fabulous list because I haven’t read any of these!! A Dead Djinn in Cairo sounds great and Galatea has been on my TBR for so long! I also need to add more novellas to my TBR. 🙂

    • Ooh, I didn’t even think about the audiobook. Maybe I’ll see if the full length novel is narrated by the same person and I’ll get the audio too. Ooh, never heard of Tread of Angels or the Tensorate series but I’ll check them out 😍 Thanks for the reccos!
