We’re back with another Sundays in Bed With… meme! This meme dares to ask you what book has been in your bed this morning and is hosted by Midnight Book Girl. Come share what book you’ve spent your time reading in bed or wish you had time to read today!
Last night, I started two books but have kept on with only one of them today.

Last night, I started two books but have kept on with only one of them today. I started The Places I’ve Cried in Public, a YA contemporary that I’ve been putting off for years because I knew I had to be in the right mood for it. I read about 20% but I’m not sure it’s working for me. I might DNF for now or try it again after I finish my second, fluffier read!

I read a book co-written by Ivy Asher last week and was curious about her writing. From picking up The Lost and the Chosen, I realised it was the other author’s writing that I enjoyed more, lol. 😂 But it’s still not a bad poly paranormal fantasy romance and I’m curious where it’ll go next!
Have you read any of these or are they also on your TBR? What are you currently reading?

There’s really not much that has been happening. Work is still kinda slow but steadily picking up so I’m enjoying the sedate pace for now. I’m preparing for my trip to Japan at the end of February to meet with my sister. I just booked my leave days and I’ve bought my ticket! We’ll be sticking mostly to Tokyo but we’re taking a short trip to Kyoto, so we booked our hotel last night and bought our tickets to DisneySea! 😍 I’m just really excited to go and be a little tourist and eat all the amazing food. 🍣

Well, I think I might’ve cursed myself last week by saying I hope I don’t jinx myself, lol. 😂 I’ve been reading okay books but I’m also finding it hard to find a book that sticks. I’m hoping it’s just a blip but we’ll see cos I want to keep this momentum of good reads going! 🤞🏽

I really hope you’re all doing okay and treating yourself with care. Let’s have a great week ahead! 💜

I have only read one book by Bourne, which I liked, but I had heard great things about that book. Sorry to hear it’s not working for you. BU JAPAN!!! How exciting! I cannot wait for you to go, come back, and tell me all about it.

The cover for that first book looks really interesting, like tear drop running the ink- very fitting for the title!

I’ve seen Ivy Asher’s name float around bookstagram and have been curious about her books, too. Funny that you liked the other author’s writing style better. 😛 I know Japan is a bit into the near future, but I’m going to wish you a “have fun” anyway!

I haven’t read either of the books you mentioned and I don’t think over ever read anything by those authors before either.
I have 3 books started right now but the book I’m reading most consistently is A Court of Silver Flames. I’m buddy reading it with Destiny and I’m loving it.
A few people have mentioned Noah Kahan recently but I had never heard of him before. I listened to the song you linked too and I loved it. Going to have to listen to more by him for sure.

The Lost and the Chosen has a beautiful cover and it sounds like an interesting story. I look forward to seeing what you think of it once you finish (notice I didn’t say “if” ☺️)
And you must post pictures of DisneySea. I’m so curious about it and happy to live vicariously 💕

I am glad things are on the slower side with work for you since you were so stressed before. THe trip sounds so fun! Sorry you had to DNF that book.

Oh my gosh, how exciting!! You are going to have a blast and I’m sure you are so excited to see your sister. I can’t wait to see all your pics and adventure updates! ❤ I hope that work doesn’t get too crazy. Suck that you might DNF your book but proud that you wont keep going, if it’s not for you. 🙂
