It’s another Sunday in bed not knowing what I want to be reading. I finished my last read this morning and I think I might continue my cautious progress on Song of Silver, Flame Like Night. But I also have a script that I need to memorize by tomorrow when I am starring in a video shoot for my office so I’ll likely be obsessing over that. 🙃

What are you currently reading?

It’s December, friends. IT’S DECEMBER!!! While I’m thrilled this somewhat hellacious year is coming to an end, there’s so much end-of-year stuff that needs to get done (all that darn money to spend!) and this year it all falls on the comms team led by yours truly. It’s nerve-wracking and stress-inducing and woof, I can’t wait for the month to be over. But since everything is happening in the next two weeks, I kinda also wish that time would freeze so I could feel more prepared (lies I tell myself, but y’know… Lol)! I’m being thrown into the deep end way outside of my comfort zone and I’m trying to remind myself of the positives (growth, experience, etc., etc.) but I wish it wasn’t so hard to remember that when I’m in the thick of it all. Fingers crossed everything goes well and that my anxiety does not make me crumble! 🤞🏽

I gotta admit that my December reading hasn’t gotten off to a great start. This morning I finished one of 2022’s most popular romance books and it was a *whomp whomp* moment for me. I couldn’t have been more disappointed to feel so “meh” about this couple or their hate-to-love romance. Sure, there were a couple of cute and ultra-cheesy (but still cute) moments in the last maybe 30%-ish but it couldn’t make up for the first 70%-ish. I’m just hoping that this month’s reading will only get better! ❤️‍🩹

  3. I think I know what book you are talking about (the one from your WWW post?) I saw the page count and had no problem resisting the hype. I told you – I a suspicious of contemporary romances that exceed 400 pages. Good luck with year-end. Not sure if it helps, but I believe in you!

  5. Good luck at work this week and getting the year end wrapped up. I know you have been forced out of your comfort zone this year, but look at all you were successful at. You can do it, Dini. I hope you enjoy your upcoming reads, and that they help you keep your mind off work.
