I still haven’t decided what to pick up next after finishing my last read this morning. It’s a toss-up between these options:

You, Again by Kate Goldbeck, My Roommate is a Vampire by Jenna Levine, Thornhedge by T. Kingfisher, A Witch’s Guide to Fake Dating A Demon by Sarah Hawley

What are you currently reading?

This week was full of watching One Piece (the anime) and Pride and Prejudice on Netflix, bingeing Olivia Rodrigo’s newest album, GUTS, and watching lots of album reaction videos on YouTube, trying hard to sleep, feeling extra drained and tired from this heat, and wishing my house was a little less quiet and a little less lonely. It was a lot of trying to find comfort because I guess I’ve been feeling a bit emotional lately for some reason, lol. I can’t wait for my upcoming “treat yourself, besties” holiday! ☀️

I thought I read a lot this week but my brain somehow lied to itself. Oops, lol! 😜 I did read my favourite book of September this past week though so, YAY! Many of you said I’d love The Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches and you were right—I loved it so much! 💜✨🥹

  1. I feel like a doofus, but what that always your blog banner? I don’t know how I could forget such a banner, but it seems different to me for some reason. Please excuse me, I am old. So happy to hear you loved Witches. Now we must wait for the follow up. Glad you doing some self care, and let the countdown to the besties trip begin. It’s close now, no?

    • Don’t feel like a doofus! It *is* a new banner 😃 I threw it up on Sunday after fiddling around with it over the weekend. I wanted to test it and see how I like it and I think I’ll keep it cos I also changed my tagline. Thanks for noticing! 🥰 I knew there was a follow up to Irregular Witches but I don’t think I know what/who it’s about. Will have to take a look and immediately it to my TBR now. And YES, besties trip is NEXT WEEK and I’m so excited! Have an amazing week ahead, Sam. 💜

  2. I’m sorry you’re going through kind of a tough time. I’m glad you have your vacation with your friends to look forward to. I’m also glad we didn’t let you down with the Mandanna recommendation. I listened to your song of the week and now I need to share it with my husband. I think he would like it a lot.

  6. I’m hoping to get to My Roommate Is a Vampire soon myself. I’ve heard good things about You, Again, too. My bestie struggled with getting into Thornhedge, so I’m a little unsure about whether to pick it up myself.
