I know it’s Monday but since I just got back from Bali today and posted a review last night, I thought I’d shift my weekly wrap-up to today!

We’re back with another Sundays in Bed With… meme! This meme dares to ask you what book has been in your bed this morning and is hosted by Midnight Book Girl. Come share what book you’ve spent your time curled up reading in bed with or which book you wish you had time to read today!

Progress: 26% → It’s been a hot minute since I read anything by Penelope Ward and when I saw her latest release, I Could Never, it sounded interesting enough to pick up. Sadly, I’m not sure if I’m going to finish it as it’s giving me nothing… Not to mention I’m not sure how I feel about the autism rep and autistic character! 😕

What are you currently reading?

As I mentioned at the top, I just got back from Bali and had an amazing time seeing my aunt and cousin who visited from the US. Only in recent years have they been able to visit yearly whereas before it’d be a couple of years in between, but they usually also come during the busiest times so we never really get the chance to relax and hang out. This time, we got to check out different food places, hang out by the pool every morning, chat and catch up about everything! There’s always a little bit of stress when it comes to family gatherings but overall, this was a pretty relaxing time. I also took my cousin to get a couple tattoos, which has become a tradition each time she visits now, and I ended up getting one myself! 😂

I thought I’d spend more time reading in the evenings but since my cousin ended up sleeping over the whole time, we wound up talking until the wee hours every day. I have one more book I need to finish to complete my Autumn Equinox semester and I’ve got three days to finish! I also totally forgot about blogging—oops… So I’ll be catching up on that this week!

  1. Bali does look amazing. I need to put it on my list of places to visit… I just wish the flight wasn’t so long. lol. I love that TS song! I’m sad Ward’s book isn’t doing anything for you. I wasn’t planning on reading it, but I will for sure skip it now. I hope you have a great week!

    • Thanks, Deanna! I totally get what you mean with the long flights cos I wish the other side of the world didn’t take so long to get to as well 😂 I ended up finishing Ward’s book (I’m not winning at DNFing lol) but I wouldn’t recommend it, so you’re not missing out on much imho! I hope you have a great week as well 🙂
