Since last week I’ve managed to finish four books.
(ARC) The Next New Syrian Girl by Ream Shukairy ★★★★☆
This was an emotional coming-of-age story that touches on the Syrian war and covers themes of identity, belonging, family and grief. An intense but powerful read! [Check out my review!]
Saint (Fable #0.5) by Adrienne Young ★★★★☆
I read this with Julie & Leslie and we all really enjoyed this. I loved coming back to this world and seeing Saint (and Clove) in a different light. Isolde was also fantastic and it was awesome to see their origin story!
(KU) Titan (Romancing His Stone #1) by Jillian Graves ★★★☆☆
This was a step out of my comfort zone but it helped me feel less slumpish! It was a pretty entertaining read but I just didn’t enjoy the third-act conflict and the resulting childish and petty behaviour and attitude from both MCs. I did enjoy this author’s writing overall though.
(ARC) Meesh the Bad Demon (Meesh the Bad Demon #1) by Michelle Lam ★★★★½
A ridiculously adorable middle-grade fantasy graphic novel with fantastic illustrations and a story about embracing who you are, not judging others by their outsides, and friendship. My review is up tomorrow!
Last Sunrise in Eterna by Amparo Ortiz
ARC → 2% → I’ve just started this but it had my attention piqued from the first lines!
