Since last week I managed to finish three books. The last week of 2022 was a weird week for me and filled with restless reading. I pawed through a couple of books in the hope that something would stick
Goldilocks & The Grumpy Bear by Kacie West, Jenni Bara & A.J. Ranney ★★★★☆
Deanna recommended this book to me and it was such a fun holiday read! This is a story about two single parents who co-parent their kids with their exes and it was sweet, funny and pretty sexy. If you enjoy holiday romances and the grumpy/sunshine trope then I’d recommend checking this novella out!
Truly Devious & The Vanishing Stair (Truly Devious #1 & #2) by Maureen Johnson
I’m really enjoying this series so far! It’s far from perfect and there are things that I really wish the author would address but I’m getting the feeling that’s probably not gonna happen? Either way, enjoying this so far and I can’t wait to read the conclusion.
Highly Suspicious and Unfairly Cute by Talia Hibbert
ARC → 47% → I picked this back up last night for the first time in a week and I read this much in a few hours. This is so utterly enjoyable! The cheekiness, the banter, the teenage experience. I love Talia Hibbert!

Glad to see you are enjoying Truly Devious. There was one plot line that infuriated me. Maybe it won’t bother you in book three.

Ooh, I’m curious to know which plot line you’re talking about. Is it the romance? 😂 I haven’t picked up the third book yet as I’ve got other reads going but I hope to soon!

I’m so happy you had fun with Goldilocks and the Grumpy Bear. It was one I adored. I also adored A Long Time Coming. That one was so fun and funny — with little stress.

Currently reading The Do-Over by Lynn Painter, Bloodmarked by Tracy Deonn, and The Sweet Spot by Amy Poeppel. From your list of books, I’ve read Firekeeper’s Daughter (it was one of my favorite books of 2021), and I have Moonrise Over Jessup on my TBR.

I look forward to seeing what you think of Firekeeper’s Daughter. I liked it for the most part even though it wasn’t what I expected. For some reason, I thought it was a fantasy book, but it’s definitely not. Lol

Okay but I thought it was a fantasy book for the longest time too and then I finally read the synopsis and I was like “ooh” 😂 Glad to know I’m not the only one who thought that—I think the cover got me, haha! Looking forward to reading it but will probs only end up getting to it after Poppy War!

It was on my TBR for ages as well 😂 I’m glad I finally picked it up! It’s an addictive YA thriller read for sure and I can’t wait to continue on with it. I hope you enjoy it whenever you pick it up!
