Hello, hello and welcome back to another episode of WWW Wednesday, a weekly meme hosted by Sam @ Taking On A World of Words, which means I’ll be answering these questions:

Since last week I’ve managed to finish three books: one MG fantasy, one romance, and one romantasy! It was a good mix this week! 😊

(ARC) Nura and the Immortal Palace by M.T. Khan ★★★★½ (rounded up)
This was a very unique middle-grade fantasy not just because of the diversity and representation in the story but also because of the real-world issues that it covers. If you love the magical aspect of the bathhouse in Spirited Away, you’ll definitely enjoy this magical hotel! Check out my review

The Inadequate Heir (The Bridge Kingdom #3) by Danielle L. Jensen ★★★½
I read this with Leslie and Julie and while we all enjoyed this, we didn’t love it as much. There’s nothing entirely ‘new’ that happens for a majority of the book because it runs in parallel with the events of the first two books but the ending is a great set-up for what feels like will be an intense book four!

The Missed Connection by Denise Williams ★★★★☆
I was looking for an easy romance read to break up my fantasies and this novella perfectly fit the bill. It was sweet and funny and the chemistry between the characters was fantastic. I really enjoyed Williams’ writing so if you’re looking for a short romantic read, I’d defo recommend this.

I’m putting all my focus on my buddy read with Jess for The Jasmine Throne. It’s a bit of a slow burn but I’m really enjoying the setting and the beautiful lore. The characters are also really intriguing and very morally grey! I’m at 55% and I’m trying to get myself to slow down so I don’t end up bingeing it alone! 😂

  2. Yay, I’m glad you’re enjoying The Jasmine Throne! I agree that it takes a moment to get going, but it’s such a fun ride once it does. I hope you end up loving it! Also, I have no idea what Maggie Moves On is about, but that pup on the front instantly made me want to read it 😂 Hope you have a great reading week, Dini!

    • It’s so good and I’m kicking myself for not reading it sooner but also, yay for less waiting time between books?! 😂 Maggie Moves On is a romance I’ve been seeing everywhere lately and apparently that doggo in it is amazing so I’m even more excited to read it 😃 Thanks, Kerri! I hope you have an amazing reading week too!

  4. Oh my gosh. I totally forgot that Seven Days in June was on our radar for a buddy read last week. haha. I’m going to have to check my hold status! … just checked… no hold and available! I really hope that book #4 will be awesome!! Maybe the retelling of a story we kind of know is what we struggled with a bit? Anyways, 55% in Jasmine Throne!!! I’m hoping to start in a couple of days.     • Haha, that’s OK! We can still get to it sometime soon? I wouldn’t mind picking it up after I finish my two fantasy buddy reads? I’ll message you about it when I’m done if you’re still keen and still have the book (hopefully, it won’t take me long)! 🙈 I think it was the retelling aspect of it cos nothing really “new” was introduced? I feel like the 4th book is gonna be so action packed and angsty. I’m scared but excited 😂 Message me when you start Jasmine Throne if you wanna talk about it 😃 I hope you love it, Leslie!       • Hey!! Okay, yes.. we can. I just checked it out from the library again. We can read it next week, hopefully! I only got two chapters into Jasmine Throne yesterday. I’ve been soo busy because I wont be home this weekend. Trying to get my posts ready for next week and my arcs! AH! haha. I will for sure message you! ❤

    • It’s still fun and I liked Keris and Zarrah but it didn’t have the same… Energy as the first book, I think? I’m still keen to read on though cos I think the fourth book is gonna be great! I hope you enjoy it, Joanna 💜
