Hello, hello and welcome back to another episode of WWW Wednesday, a weekly meme hosted by Sam @ Taking On A World of Words, which means I’ll be answering these questions:
- What did you read last?
- What are you currently reading?
- What will you read next?

I’ve been in a bit of a funky reading mood since last week and found it difficult to really focus on a book for long. I went back and forth a lot until I managed to finish reading these four books:
Sunny Song Will Never Be Famous by Suzanne Park ★★★★☆
This was a super fast read and a very entertaining and relatable YA contemporary/coming-of-age story. Sunny is a teenager obsessed with social media due to being a mid-level influencer. I think many readers will be able to relate to her rocky relationship with social media! My first book by Park but certainly not my last. 📱 RTC
Hooked (Never After #1) by Emily McIntire ★★★☆☆
If you’re into dark romances with villainous heroes and innocent heroines with darker desires, this might be up your alley! It does get bloody and slightly gory but there are some great twists and turns to the story (although not entirely unpredictable). It’s not a Peter Pan retelling but I loved how elements of the original story were incorporated into this. Also, pretty steamy! 🔥 RTC
To Love Jason Thorn (Love & Hate #1) by Ella Maise ★★½
The premise was cute but the execution was not it as the writing was awkward and the dialogue stilted. I loved Olive and Lucy’s ride-or-die friendship though and that was probably my favourite aspect of the story. That said, Ella Maise really knows how to write those steamy scenes, especially if you like a filthy hero. 🥵 RTC
Dim Stars by Brian P. Rubin ★★★★☆
This was such a fun adventurous read full of countless outer space disasters and shenanigans. It’s honestly been a while since I laughed as hard (and incredulously) as I did reading this and it was too good! If you like quirky characters, found family, and action-packed space adventures then you should check this out! 🚀 Check out my first impressions!

So… I’ve mentioned my weird reading mood, right? I’ve got a few reads going on! I’m mainly focusing on my ARCs for Given to Darkness (37%) and The Keeper of Night (32%) right now but I can’t wait to get back to Warbreaker (22%), The Bastard’s Betrayal (48%) and Man in Charge (33%).

Still 30% through Hellbound Guilds & Other Misdirections and I’ve still made zero progress with She Who Became the Sun… Welp, I’m kinda sad I’m not as into this as I thought I would be…? Maybe I just need to be in a more focused reading mood? 😬

I’ll be doing another buddy with Julie for OMUAT next week and I can’t wait! Of course, there are more ARCs, more tours… and probably a lot more romance! 😉

What’re you currently reading? Have you read any of these books or are they also on your TBR? Happy reading! 😍

Hooked sounds intriguing. It’s definitely caught my eye and that cover 😍

If it makes you feel better, I have a LOT more books going than that right now. I am at least managing to finish some, though. LOL! Hope you love whatever you decide to pick up next!!

Haha, I’m always in awe of how many books you’ve got going on, Ali! But I can really relate to the book jumping vibe right now 😂 Happy reading to you!

I thought Sunny Song was Park’s best book so far. I really enjoyed that one.

Ooh, really? I’m quite excited to try The Perfect Escape, which I heard was quite cute (and zombie-ish)! I can’t wait 😊

I’m happy to see you’re reading To Love Jason Thorne! That was a fun one. The second book was good, too. I don’t know why she had to go and change the cover, though. I like the old one better. It fit the story better.

I didn’t know the cover had changed! I know you’re not a huge fan of the illustrated covers but I do like it… Although it’s deceptively cute 😝 I got the second book on Kindle Unlimited but just haven’t been in the mood for it yet. I loved Lucy though!

I bet you will love the second book when you get to it.

Haha, there ain’t nothing wrong with enjoying a filthy hero now and again! 😉 Ngl, I definitely have a weakness for them! Haha 😂 I hope you manage to shake off the weird reading mood. I’m still a bit in it but I have a few blog tour reads coming up so hopefully that keeps me on some kinda track! Happy reading to you too!

Yes! We need those filthy heroes 🤣. I’m trying to hype myself up to read (and yes nothing on my list of open books I have waiting on me 🤦🏻♀️)…I just bought like 3 ebooks right now haha. All spooky books to get me in the scary mood – maybe that will kick me out of my slump! lol
