Sundays in Bed With… #MyWeeklyWrapUp

We’re back with another Sundays in Bed With… meme! This meme dares to ask you what book has been in your bed this morning and is hosted by Midnight Book Girl. Come share what book you’ve spent time curled up reading in bed with, or which book you wish you had time to read today!

I’ll be spending the rest of my Sunday night in bed with Good Girl, Bad Blood by Holly Jackson. It’s the second book in the Good Girl’s Guide to Murder series and I’m looking forward to reuniting with Poppy and seeing what’s on the cards for her this time around!

More dark secrets are exposed in this true-crime fueled mystery.

Pip is
not a detective anymore.
With the help of Ravi Singh, she released a true-crime podcast about the murder case they solved together last year. The podcast has gone viral, yet Pip insists her investigating days are behind her.

But she will have to break that promise when someone she knows goes missing. Jamie Reynolds has disappeared, on the very same night the town hosted a memorial for the sixth-year anniversary of the deaths of Andie Bell and Sal Singh.

The police won’t do anything about it. And if they won’t look for Jamie then Pip will, uncovering more of her town’s dark secrets along the way… and this time everyone is listening. But will she find him before it’s too late?

What are you currently reading?

My parents arrived on Monday evening and the following day my uncle and cousin, who’s finally moving into his uni dorm as classes will be starting in person, arrived as well. The house feels full of life again now that there are others here for the next few weeks and although it’s a little hectic at times, it feels good to have all these home sounds around 😊 It was mum’s birthday on Saturday so we had a nice lunch and dinner with loads of good food, cake, and ice cream. It was a good but tiring day!

I spent basically all of today bingeing the second season of Umbrella Academy and w-o-w! What a show! Klaus is still my favourite but they’re all so weirdly endearing and hilarious—I love these siblings so much! I’m sad that we have to wait so long for the next season to come out cos that was one heckuva season two ending! I can’t wait for more 😍

I feel like I haven’t been reading a whole lot this week. I’ve been in a weird mood and I’m hoping it doesn’t translate into a reading slump but I do have a few blog tour reads coming up that I need to get done so I have motivation to push through. I just hope the books I need to read can hold my attention! I’ve also been a little bit MIA on the blogosphere still and I haven’t made many posts either. Here’s a quick recap of what I’ve shared this week:

Blog Tour Review: The Wolf’s Curse by Jessica Vitalis
Book Review: The Duke of Diamonds by Emily Windsor
Book Review: Credence by Penelope Douglas
The Count to 10 With Me Book Tag
#WWWWednesday: 22 September 2021
Blog Tour Review: The Cursed Carnival and Other Calamities by Rick Riordan
#TopTenTuesday: 2021 Fall Possibilities
Book Review: Wolf Girl Series by Leia Stone
Mini-Reviews: Swoony Steamy Romance Novellas!

  1. Happy Birthday to your mum!

This post is a reminder of everything I keep meaning to get to! I love YA thrillers so it’s about time I read the Good Girl’s Guide to Murder books, and so many of my friends have told me to watch The Umbrella Academy. Glad to see you enjoyed it, Dini! 😀

  2. I’m a big fan of the Good Girl’s Guide to Murder series. I listened to the first two books on audio and they were incredible. I’m excited to read the 3rd one though terrified for poor Poppy!
Happy Birthday to your mom! I’m glad you were able to celebrate and have a good time. Good luck to your cousin as they head to uni!
