Hello, hello and welcome back to another episode of WWW Wednesday, a weekly meme hosted by Sam @ Taking On A World of Words, which means I’ll be answering these questions:
- What did you read last?
- What are you currently reading?
- What will you read next?

Since last week I’ve managed to finish three books. I haven’t been doing a lot of reading over the last week as I’ve been too busy watching anime and playing ACNH… 🙈 Oops!
The Last Secret You’ll Ever Keep by Laurie Faria-Stolarz ★★★☆☆
I wanted to love this one but I ended up feeling very confused for a good chunk of it. I think Faria-Stolarz gave a realistic portrayal of someone dealing with PTSD but if you’re not a fan of unreliable narrators this will not be the book for you! While I definitely got creeped out at points, I found the resolution to the mystery was a bit underwhelming. Check out my review!
Happy Singles Day by Ann Marie Walker ★★½
I really thought I’d love this one but that was purely me judging the book on its cover (and okay, the synopsis too)! It’s not that I hated this book I just thought it was very unmemorable and nothing special. I’ve already forgotten quite a lot about it and I only finished it last week! Oops… Check out my review!
All Systems Red (The Murderbot Diaries #1) by Martha Wells ★★★★½
I LOVE MURDERBOT! That’s it. The end. No… But seriously… Murderbot is awesome and I’m kicking myself for not reading this one sooner because it was an absolute delight! Although the ending wrapped up too easily and quickly (hence -.5 stars), I think I was less bothered by it here because I was absolutely sold on Murderbot itself. 🤣 I just love them, okay?! This was another one of my buddy reads with Leslie and we both had similar opinions about it and we’re now reading the second book in the series! 😍 RTC!

I’m about 50% of the way through Artificial Condition now and I’m still loving being in Murderbot’s head. I’m also really liking ART! 😍 Curious to see how things play out because right now, sh-t is about to hit the fan! I’m still at about the 15% mark with The Songbook of Benny Lament but I’m enjoying it and want to get back to it soon. I like the inclusion of the radio broadcast in alternating chapters! As for The Long Way to A Small Angry Planet, I’m still ‘reading it’ but I’m putting it aside for now while I focus on the buddy read and ARCs. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve really enjoyed most of what I’ve read so far but it’s much slower than I expected (being character driven) and I have to be in the right headspace for it, me thinks! Also, the science stuff is too smart for me and it goes over my head at times 🤣

Although all of these are ARCs, I’m hoping to at least get Namesake and Lost in the Never Woods read before their upcoming pub days! Also, I’m part of a blog tour for LITNW so priority, it is!

What’re you currently reading? Have you read any of these books or are they also on your TBR? Happy reading! 😍

Oooh looks like you’ve got some good books on the go Dini! I really enjoyed The Long Way to the Small Angry Planet but am definitely due a re-read before I pick up any others in the series (which I definitely plan on doing!) I’ve also got Namesake coming up soon and I’m looking forward to seeing where Fable’s story is going! I hope you enjoy them all 😀
