This week’s prompt is: Retelling*.

Well, technically retelling was last week’s prompt but I missed doing it and since this week’s prompt ‘nature’ didn’t really pique my interest, I thought I’d go back and do this one! I know I’m not the only one who loves a good retelling and I think I’m quite happy with this trend in YA fantasy! I’m also glad to see that these retellings are branching out beyond the usual suspects (i.e. Beauty & the Beast, Alice in Wonderland, Austen etc.) though that’s not to say that I don’t still enjoy those retellings, too 😉 A lot of these are more recent releases, one even only releasing later this month, that are quite high up on my TBR and that I’m hoping to be able to read this year? Let’s see how it goes!

THESE VIOLENT DELIGHTS

Retelling: Romeo & Juliet
