So, we’re back with another Top Ten Tuesday, a weekly meme hosted by Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl. This week’s prompt is: Books That Made Me Laugh Out Loud (Claire @ Book Lovers Pizza)
Ooh, I quite like this topic and I don’t think I’ve ever made a list of books that made me LOL before (although maybe I have and my memory is just that bad)! To be honest, I’m an easily amused person and I tend to laugh out loud quite a lot especially if something’s cheeky or cheesy. If you ask my family and friends they’ll tell you that I love to laugh, and usually at things people don’t often laugh at–not in an inappropriate way though, it just really doesn’t take much to get a full-on laugh out of me! I don’t even know where to begin with this list because I’m not kidding when I say that books make me LOL quite often! 😂 I looked through my 20/21 reads and I already have a list that’s overwhelmingly large, so to make it easy on myself I chose some books at random from the big list. These books didn’t just have me giggling, some of them had me breathless with laughter for a while! I do so love to laugh 😉

Take A Hint, Dani Brown – The cheeky sassy banter (and practically everything else) in this book was *chefs kiss*! So much LOL! This book was just perfection and had me all up in my feels ❤️
Bad Habits – This had some OTT moments but our MC, Alex, was really out there with her sarcastic humour.
Ever After Always – Another book in a series that is full of laughs. The Bergman family are HILARIOUS and omg, there were some scenes in here that really had me ded (in a good way, obvs). 🥲
Cemetery Boys – How can you not laugh when Julian and Yadriel are together? SO much happiness! 🥰
That Swoony Feeling – Again, this is another series that came with all the LOLs, especially with the last two brothers. Brig was like a giant love/curse obsessed puppy who had some hilarious cute-awkward moments!

Big Girl, Small Town – If you like dry/sarcastic humour, our protagonist, Majella, was chock full of it! I wasn’t expecting to laugh as much as I did, but she was such a great and relatable character.
The Tourist Attraction – The cheesy humour bordered a little too close to *too much* in this one but best believe I laughed my ass off tons of times–especially with that chainsaw scene. I was gasping~! 🤣
The Good For Nothings – These quirky underdogs and their great found-family chemistry, not to mention the crazy hijinks they got up to, really had me cracking up throughout the read! This book was SO much fun 😍
Sorry I’m Late, I Didn’t Want to Come – Not only did I 100% relate to Pan’s story but she’s also a hilarious narrator that had me in fits with the awkward relatability. One of my favourite non-fictions that hit home in a big way!
Red, White & Royal Blue – While I didn’t love this as much as I hoped to (I know, I’m heartless), I did laugh a lot throughout the read. I loved the embarrassing mum moments and the great friendship groups, too!

Are you like me and are easily amused and laugh at all the things in books? Or is it rare when you find a book that can make you LOL? Did any of these make you laugh?

I can’t wait to read Cemetery Boys! The waitlist for it at my library is so long. 🙂
