I know technically it’s 21 January and I’m a bit late but we’re rolling with it!

Hello, hello and welcome back to another episode of WWW Wednesday, a weekly meme hosted by Sam @ Taking On A World of Words, which means I’ll be answering these questions:

Since last week, I’ve read 7 books but I’m not counting three of them because I didn’t count them on my Goodreads. As I mentioned in my weekly wrap up I picked up a reverse harem bully romance and it was one of those experiences where I was horrified and confused but also still curious so I kept “reading”. In reality I was just skimming as fast as possible to see what happens but it was honestly one helluva journey and I don’t even know what to think 😂

Girl on the Ferris Wheel by Julie Halpern & Len Vlahos ★★★☆☆
The Girl on the Ferris Wheel was a realistic YA contemporary about high school life, first love, culture and family. It also has good representation for anxiety and depression through the lens of a young adult. I felt the story was written for the younger end of the YA range though and I found it difficult to really connect to the characters. The Mistletoe Trap (Heart in the Game #2) by Cindi Madsen ★★★★☆
What is it about (well-intentioned) meddlesome families in romances that always get me!? I absolutely adored this sweet, friends-to-lovers romance that’s full of delightful banter, next-level scheming mums, and holiday fun. Julie and Gavin have great banter! I loved her quirkiness and his charm and together they just gelled so perfectly! A really feel good story that I sped through in a day. RTC!

Kept from Cages (Ikiri #1) by Phil Williams ★★★★½
This was a step outside my comfort zone but I’m so glad it was put on my radar. Part supernatural fantasy, part horror, and part mystery, this was an absolutely thrilling ride! I definitely couldn’t read this at night but I also didn’t want to put it down. The characters were my favourite part and they had such distinct voices and were so full of life. Cast in Firelight (Wickery #1) by Dana Swift ★★★★☆
I didn’t really go into this with much expectation but this was pure entertainment and 100% enjoyable to read! The elemental magic was simple but fun. The characters were easy to love and root for from the beginning. The romance was cheesy but swoon-worthy. The banter was so, so good and I loved every minute of it. Surprise, surprise I’ve only got one book going right now. I’m reading the ARC for At the Edge of the Haight and I’m only about 20% through but it’s shaping up to be one of those stories about “daily life” so it’s kind of plodding along… It is an interesting look into the life of the homeless and especially homeless young adults in San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park area though.

I have some more blog tour reads that I need to get on and that I’m looking forward to reading!
