Ugh, I’ve been hitting struggle town real hard since last week but… is it just me or is this week lasting forever? I can’t believe it’s Wednesday but I really wish it was already Friday 😂
Hello, hello and welcome back to another episode of WWW Wednesday, a weekly meme hosted by Sam @ Taking On A World of Words, which means I’ll be answering these questions:
- What did you read last?
- What are you currently reading?
- What will you read next?

Since last week’s update I’ve only managed to read two books. The struggle has been super real what with work really draining my energy, and it feels like I finished reading something other than these two books but… I guess not. Perhaps I’ve just lost the plot and have started making things up? 😂
The Magic Ingredient by Lindy Miller ★★★½
The perfect autumnal romance about second chances, family and discovering what’s important. This was a super sweet and wholesome romance that’s set against the backdrop of a small community, and it has all the wonderful small-town quirkiness that I love in these types of novels! Also, this made me crave sweet desserts like never before! I don’t think I’ve ever wanted to get my hands on a whoopie pie so badly 😂 Read my review.
Legends Rise (Venators #3) by Devri Walls ★★★★½
Holy granola, this book was an absolute ride and I loved every second being back in this world and learning more about our group of supernaturals: Verida, Beltran, Grey and Rune. Beltran and Grey really stole the show again for me in this book, but I also loved learning more about Verida! So many character histories revealed, so much vulnerability, and definitely a lot of emotional reading on my part. Walls continues to sweep me up with her world building and I thoroughly enjoyed learning even more about how deadly Eon is. This world would dead me in five minutes 😂 Read my review.

I actually haven’t finished the other two books I started last week, including the graphic novel I’m halfway through. But with how crazy work + blog tours were last week, I barely had time to think let alone really read! With how drained I’ve been feeling I decided to focus all my attention on Beneath Black Sails, a pirate romantasy and I’m loving it so far! Don’t think I’ve read a pirate novel with this much pirating before and while the depth of the sailing terms does confuse me at times, I’m still enjoying it a lot! Also, this is shaping up to be a slow-burn enemies-to-lovers romance and oh, I am so ready for it! 😍
FYI: It’s on Kindle Unlimited if you’re subscribed and are interested 😉

I’ve not signed up for so many blog tours for the remaining two months of the year, but I do have two coming up next week. Both are genres I haven’t read in a while (it’s been a whole lot of fantasy lately) so I’m looking forward to diving in! I also have a MG fantasy ARC that I’m looking forward to tackling soon as well! Plus, of course, all my other ARCs on ARC Mountain!

How is your reading week going and what are you currently reading? Hope the rest of your week goes well!

Love Offline looks cute. I hope you like it!

You always impress me with how much you’ve read!
I just finished Five Dark Fates by Kendare Blake, I’m currently reading Golden Son by Pierce Brown and War of the Wolf by Bernard Cornwell, and I’m not sure what I’m going to read next – probably a NetGalley ARC since I’m failing at ARCTober 😂

My ARCs on NetGalley are out of control. Apparently this isn’t the month I’m getting them handled lol

This is 1000% a mood, Leah. My ARCs are way out of this worldly control. I’ve been failing so hard with reading challenges this year so I decided to skip ARCtober and just… Read whatever ARCs I can manage 😂 But I totally have faith in you too! You got this! 😉 And even if you can’t get it all done this month, some progress is better than no progress, right? LOL

Exactly! It doesn’t help that I have so many awesome library books sitting on my shelf just calling to me to read them. I really just need to read these ARCs though. 😂

But please don’t feel pressured to read a lot and post a lot! You’re one of my favorite bloggers and I looove seeing posts by you, but your wellbeing and sanity come first!

Haha I remember when I first read the term romantasy I was like “whoa, why did I not think of that?!” 😂
And ah, your words make me so happy! Thank you sooo much 💜 That really means a lot! I love posting and I love reading but some weeks are just way harder than others. I’m slowly working my way out of this mini-funk 🙂
