So, we’re back with another Top Ten Tuesday, a weekly meme hosted by Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl. This week’s prompt is: Super Long Book Titles!
I realised five minutes ago that I’ve been working on the prompt for next week (welp 🙃) but I’m glad that this week’s prompt is quite easy and fun so I’m going to keep this short and simple! I think there are a lot of long book titles these days (especially in YA fantasy with many combination of the “A _____ of _____ and _____” or “_____ of _____ and _____” titles) but I tried not to include any of those in my list today 😉 Although I know a lot of readers are sick of the similar titles, I’m not particularly fussed by them. But I do think these longer titles are more interesting! These books are a mix of ones that I’ve already read and ones that I still need to read.

The Strange and Beautiful Sorrows of Ava Lavender tbr
The Astonishing Color of After
10 Minutes 38 Seconds in This Strange World tbr
The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time
Good Omens: The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, Witch tbr
Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe tbr
My Grandmother Asked Me to Tell You She’s Sorry
I’ll Be Gone in the Dark: One Woman’s Obsessive Search for the Golden State Killer
The Girl Who Could Move Sh*t With Her Mind tbr
The Dark Descent of Elizabeth Frankenstein tbr

How easily intrigued are you by books with really long titles? Do you like really long titles or nah? Have you read any of these books?

not read any. To be honest i just realized, I haven’t read any with long titles.

I recognize several of these but haven’t read any of them. I always see raves for Aristotle & Dante.

Good Omens was such a good story, too. Have you seen the miniseries based on it? I think you’d like if if you haven’t yet.
My post.

The Girl Who Could Move Sh*t with Her Mind is at least funny. It reminds me of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. Those books were mouth fulls, too.

Great list, Dini! The Astonishing Colour of After is one I need to cross off my TBR.

Oh yes, the Good Omens title!! Loved that book, I had it as an audiobook and the narrator was so good at doing the voices!

Wow, you found the very longest titles here, Dini! The only one I’ve read is Curious Incident.

Great picks! Crazy enough, Good Omens is the only one I’ve read so far, but most of the others are on my TBR.

I haven’t read a single one of these books, I realized while writing the post this week that I have a tendency to short book titles. Don’t know why, it’s weird.

Great picks! I’ve read The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time and Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe – liked them both! The Dark Descent of Elizabeth Frankenstein sounds intriguing – perfect for Halloween-time!
