Panda Rating:
A love story between a vampire and a werewolf by the creator of the enormously popular Sarah’s Scribbles comics.
Vamp is three hundred years old but in all that time, she has never met her match. This all changes one night in a bar when she meets a charming werewolf. FANGS chronicles the humor, sweetness, and awkwardness of meeting someone perfectly suited to you but also vastly different

I’m a big fan of the many Sarah’s Scribbles comics that I’ve seen online although I’ve never actually read through or purchased one of her books, and after reading Fangs I’m really questioning why! This was such a cute/weird/sweet love story between a vampire and a werewolf that had me laughing out loud and ‘awwing’ constantly. Talk about them feel good feels!

I admit to requesting this one without really looking at the blurb (oops) but that didn’t affect my reading experience, although I was initially surprised that it wasn’t a cohesive/’linear’ love story but more snapshots of their relationship. Surprisingly though, you still get a good sense of how their relationship evolves over time. I loved how they found a strong connection to each other despite of or maybe even because of their very obvious differences and oddities. Although they’re vampire and werewolf, they can still be completely at ease with each other and their ‘true selves’ that other people can’t see. it was nice to see them explore these differences throughout their relationship and in that sense I think it’s very relatable. Although there’s none of the usual character development or plot it certainly didn’t stop me from forming attachments to both characters and their relationship. They were so adorable and their love filled me up with warmth!

This is the perfect (and short) palette cleanser when you’re between books/changing genres, or even for when you’re just looking for something that’ll give you the surprising warm fuzzies. I would definitely recommend if you’re a fan of Sarah’s work (or if you haven’t experienced her awesome yet)!

Thanks to NetGalley for the eARC in exchange for an honest review. This graphic novel is out 01 September 2020 but FYI it is also available online as a web comic!
Have you read Fangs or is it on your TBR?

Wonderful review! I read this a couple of weeks ago, but haven’t managed a review yet. You’ve said everything I felt while reading it!
