It’s that time of the week again, friends! We’re back with another Top Ten Tuesday, a weekly meme hosted by Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl. This week’s prompt is: authors who have a fun social media presence.
I almost skipped this week’s TTT for the first time since joining in weekly because I honestly don’t follow that many authors on my social media accounts? Not for any particular reason other than the fact that I just don’t? 🤷🏻♀️ I think there’s only one author who I follow religiously on all platforms I’m on and he’ll be at the top of my list. There are a few other authors whose tweets I do enjoy reading whenever they come up on my feed though so they’ll be making up my list for today!
I mean, this is really no surprise. I love how Kristoff is so supportive of his fans in whatever they do and he drops comments and responds to tweets etc. He’s also just a really funny dude?
I quite enjoy following V.E. Schwab. I have a good chuckle every now and again with her posts.
I was a bit late to the Matt Haig party for no particular reason. I knew he had a big Twitter presence but for some reason I just didn’t start following him right away after reading his book? But I am now and I love his tweets so much!

Sabaa Tahir has some pretty awesome tweets and she also has a lot of positive and encouraging ones for her fellow writers. She’s constantly supporting writer friends and it’s super nice to see 🙂
Christina Lauren is also another account that I enjoyed following. I don’t see their tweets that often but when I do I find that I waste lots of minutes scrolling their tweets 😅
C.G. Drews was an author I started following on Twitter before I was even on Twitter? She serves super relatable tweets but also many that give me a chuckle or ten.
Rainbow Rowell makes some pretty funny tweets sometimes that usually have me cracking a smile or a short chuckle at the very least!
I haven’t even read anything by Shaun David Hutchinson YET (although there are plans to change this ASAP) but there’s so much positivity and support coming from his feed it’s just so nice to follow!
Okay, this wasn’t ten authors but it’s close enough! Who are your favourite authors to follow on social media?

Yes to Kristoff, Schwab and Tahir, love following them all so much & ill definitely be checking out all the others 😀

I’m an Instagram girl, but I do follow Maggie Stiefvater on Twitter. She can be hilarious and so witty. I’ve seen Jay Kristoff on so many lists. And isn’t it funny that we follow authors even though we’ve never read their books?? I have so many like that I follow on Instagram, too. I keep thinking, “their books must be great if their social media presence is so good. Maybe I should pick up one of their books to read!” 😉

I used to be an IG girl through and through and then I burned out and hopped on book twitter and I sadly haven’t looked back. Haha I do miss IG though and interacting with my book friends there! I still haven’t read Stiefvater’s books so I’m not following her but I’ll be sure to check her out! I do follow authors I haven’t read yet though but I don’t always go looking for more authors to follow. I follow more bloggers than anything 😅Definitely get what you mean with thinking their books must be awesome coz their socmed presence is so great. It’s defo the case with Kristoff 😉 Haha

Love seeing your picks, Dini! I follow a couple authors on Twitter but I’m actually rarely ever on Twitter so I never see them. LOL C.G. Drews tweet made me laugh because it’s so accurate. 🙂

I just follow authors at random or after reading their book but I’m more focused on keeping track of bloggers so beside Nina Varela (who was amazing at twitter promoting her book) I don’t even remember whom I follow?
Though I’m listening to Matt Haig’s book now and he’s hillarious! 😀
Great post, Dini!

I totally also follow authors at random and rarely seek them out on my own if I haven’t read their books (even then I don’t always look for them). I will have to check out Nina Varela’s feed, I haven’t read her book yet though! Lol
Ooh, does Haig read his own books? I think maybe I’ll give that a try! I love his tweets though — they’re always so supportive!

Haha! Sometimes I’ll follow one and only later learn they have a book! I just follow all the bookish people lol
Yes, he does. It’s on Spotify too! His voice is not super expressive though

Oh really? Hmm… Then maybe I won’t check him out 🤣 I’m quite picky with my narrators for audiobooks, so maybe I’ll just stick to reading his books!

Haha! Honestly me too but it was managable as a sort of background noise and I still retained some information 😀 But I would rather read it myself if I had to give it another go!
