Sundays in Bed With… #MyWeeklyWrapUp [36]

Yes, I’m well aware it’s no longer Sunday but wow, this weekend went by so quickly and didn’t feel like a weekend at all… So we’re back with another SundaysMondays in Bed With… meme! This meme dares to ask you what book has been in your bed this morning and is hosted by Midnight Book Girl. Come share what book you’ve been you’ve spent time curled up reading in bed with, or which book you wish you had time to read today!

Today I spent the day in bed with Queen of Nothing. I wasn’t the biggest fan of the first two books in the series, although I still did enjoy them well enough to continue on finishing the series. I’m looking forward to seeing how this series wraps up. It’s also time to mention again: I hate Taryn. The end! 😊

The finale to the New York Times bestselling Folk of Air trilogy, that started with The Cruel Prince and The Wicked King, from award-winning author Holly Black.

After being pronounced Queen of Faerie and then abruptly exiled by the Wicked King Cardan, Jude finds herself unmoored, the queen of nothing. She spends her time with Vivi and Oak, watches her fair share of reality television, and does the odd job or two, including trying to convince a cannibalistic faerie from hunting her own in the mortal world.

When her twin sister Taryn shows up asking of a favor, Jude jumps at the chance to return to the Faerie world, even if it means facing Cardan, who she loves despite his betrayal.

When a dark curse is unveiled, Jude must become the first mortal Queen of Faerie and uncover how to break the curse, or risk upsetting the balance of the whole Faerie world.

What are you currently reading?

This week has been a weird combination of passing incredibly quickly but also at a snail’s pace. I had my last day of work on Thursday (after Christmas!) and since then, the days have kind of meshed into one… giant blur? I’ve gone to sleep, woken up, ate, drank, went out to do things with family and friends, and then repeated it all over again for what seems like ages but in reality is only three days 😂 Anyone else go through this weird time-loop thing when you’re on holiday?

Other than that though nothing really eventful has been happening… I’ve been doing my fair share of reading but realise that I won’t get to all the reads I want before 2020. It was a bit ambitious anyway! Lol I also realise that I still haven’t filled out my new Passion Planner and I’m excited to get some 2020 dates in there (like book releases and reading deadlines)! I’m also looking forward to mapping out my goals. I’m one of those people who always makes grand plans at the start of the year but never actually see them through to the end 😅 I have a pretty clear vision of what I want by the end of 2020 though, so maybe this time I’ll actually stick to it! Are you a planner of any kind?

Reading & Blogging Recap

Since last Sunday I’ve managed to read a few books although certainly not as many as I’d hoped to read, especially as it’s now the end of the year and I can probably squeeze in one final read (my current) before 2020 rolls in. I just realised last night that I’ve stopped posting on Instagram because in all the craziness that year ends bring, I’ve basically forgotten that days have passed and I’ve done nothing. I think I might make one or two final posts for the new year! It’s been quite a year for reading, bookstagramming and blogging, and I’ve started to wonder what it’ll be like for me next year. I hope that it continues to be as awesome! On that note… as much as I want to stay at home and keep reading and blog hopping, I have to get ready for some family things.

You can find a list of the posts I made this week down below, just in case you missed any 😉

    • I bought it on Friday last week and I just started it two nights ago. The pacing is pretty fast and I’m about 65% through. I’m hoping it’ll be a satisfying conclusion 😍 I hope you enjoy it, Tanya! I’m looking forward to hearing what you think about it.

LOL I totally get what you mean. I think if it wasn’t for blogging I would have no clue what day it is 😂
