Sundays in Bed With… #MyWeeklyWrapUp [32]

We’re back with another Sundays in Bed With… meme! This meme dares to ask you what book has been in your bed this morning and is hosted by Midnight Book Girl. Come share what book you’ve been you’ve spent time curled up reading in bed with, or which book you wish you had time to read today!

I’ve spent this Sunday thinking that I should probably be in bed with the book that I’m “currently reading”: The Curious Heart of Ailsa Rae by Stephanie Butland. I’ve finally picked up another e-ARC that’s *cough* a little *cough* overdue…

Ailsa Rae is learning how to live.
She’s only a few months past the heart transplant that – just in time – saved her life. Life should be a joyful adventure. But…

Her relationship with her mother is at breaking point.
She knows she needs to find her father.
She’s missed so much that her friends have left her behind.
She’s felt so helpless for so long that she’s let polls on her blog make her decisions for her. And now she barely knows where to start on her own.

And then there’s Lennox. Her best friend and one time lover. He was sick too. He didn’t make it. And now she’s supposed to face all of this without him.

But her new heart is a bold heart.
She just needs to learn to listen to it

What are you currently reading?

Work this week has been a bit mental and due to anxiety I felt unable to do much. One thing I did decide to treat myself to was indulging in watching Frozen II in Gold Class (which is still only $9-10 here on the weekdays lol)! Frozen is probably one of my all time favourite movies. Seriously, that movie and I have been through a lot! The trailer for Frozen II was amazing and while I did love it, I still think the first movie was better. That could be my bias because I absolutely love Frozen, but I also thought the songs in Frozen II weren’t as catchy? I do feel like watching it again already though because it was adorable and I missed the characters–especially Olaf!

The tweet above basically sums up what I’ve been doing this weekend! I started watching The Good Place on Friday, very much on a whim, because I couldn’t decide what Christmas movie to watch and now I have a new favorite show. I’m way late to the party and everyone probably knows this already but The Good Place is… THE GOOD PLACE! This show is fantastic. So yeah, I haven’t been very productive this weekend but it was well worth it!

Reading & Blogging Recap

I had to remind myself twice already that it’s no longer November! Nope, it’s officially December folks! What is this insanity?! November was…a little bit of a mediocre month because work was ridiculous, my anxiety was often quite high and my book count… Well, it wasn’t exactly low but compared to previous months it wasn’t so great, and that’s really fine. Since last Sunday I’ve managed to read four books and two were for Task 2 of the #Triwizardathon. While technically I set out two other books to read to save the loved ones in the other schools, I only managed to complete saving my friend using the Gillyweed method, which means that I completed the challenge but didn’t get any bonus points 🙈 I haven’t been checking the score so I don’t know which school is in the lead, but there’s still one more task after this so even if Team Durmstrang is no longer in the lead, there’s still hope!

On that note, in case you missed any, check out all the posts I’ve made this week down below! Now… It’s back to The Good Place for me 😍

    • Ooh, I’m a sucker for Disney so of course I was one of the kids watching it continuously 🤣 My story with Frozen is actually a little weird and it very randomly helped me through some tough times haha Hope your weeks have been going well, Greg!

    • Lol I’ve heard of it vaguely but honestly had no idea what it was about until not too long ago. It’s a funny one and I had some great laughs watching it the weekend I binged 😂 I would recommend it if you’re looking for something new (and very American) to check out lol and thank you my friend! Big hugs back at you! 🐼
