Omg, is it only Wednesday?! Welp, my brain keeps tricking me into believing it’s Thursday and that there’s only one more day standing between me and my beloved weekend. What did you read last?
This weekend I finished reading The Great Alone by Kristin Hannah (solid 5 stars!) and in the very early hours of this morning, I finished my first read for The Reading Rush: Red, White & Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston. Y’all, I’m really sorry to say this, but I didn’t love it as much as everyone else seemed to and trust me, no one is more disappointed about it than me. While the last 30% of the book really shifted my feelings about it and I did leave the book feeling, lifted, warm and happy, it still wasn’t enough for me to give it more than 3½ stars. I’ll be posting my review for both these books in the coming days, so keep your eyes out for it! Finishing RW&RB means I can tick my first prompt for the RR challenge: ☑️Read an author’s first book!
What are you currently reading?
I’m putting all my other reads aside for now and I’m focusing on these next three reads, which are also for The Reading Rush this week, not to mention my buddy read for TIHIAI is coming up this Sunday so I really gotta get going with this read! Ugh, I hate when I think it’s later in the week than it really is. Such a letdown! I can understand your feelings about RW&RB. It has been so insanely hyped as if it’s the Best Book Ever. And maybe for some it is! I enjoyed it and gave it 4 stars, but it definitely wasn’t a 5 star read for me. I can’t wait to start The Great Alone! I seriously love Kristin Hannah. She is an amazing story teller. Good luck with The Reading Rush!

It was… Really…. No. Not for me 😭I was expecting cute things but I’m sorry, it was NOT cute. The MC was wholly frustrating and so selfish it made me want to smack her! Ok wow, I thought giving myself days to calm down about how frustrated and URGH I felt about this book would make the feels subside. Obviously not LOL
How’re you finding Priory? I’ve also heard quite a few mixed reviews about it!

Oof, I’m sorry you didn’t enjoy it! I’ve definitely heard a lot of bad reviews about it so I’m honestly not surprised.
I FINALLY finished Priory today. I enjoyed it overall but had some issues so it’s gonna be a 3.5 star for me.

I’m surprised that I didn’t hear a lot of bad reviews it. It’s only the more that I looked on GR after finishing that I found them all hiding under the glowing reviews 😂
