I’ll be spending the rest of my Sunday in bed reading The Stardust Thief by Chelsea Abdullah. I’ve been enjoying this so much and I’m now about 60% through. Could I even finish this tonight? Possibly! These characters are all very intriguing and their journey through the desert very engaging. I’m very keen to see where the story goes!

I spent most of my Sunday in bed finishing The Last Devil to Die by Richard Osman. This was my favourite in the series so far, and not because of the mystery was extra mysterious and the shenanigans extra shenanigan-y. It was because of the characters, who at this point feel like real people and old friends, and what they experience in this book. It made me realise that while the mysteries are always fun, it’s the characters, their wit, wry humour, and overall arcs that bring me back every time. They are such wonderful people and this one really whacked me over the head with all the emotion! 😭 Yes, I did cry. I ugly cried for… A good chunk of this!

This week’s topic is a: The First 10 Books I Randomly Grabbed from My Shelf (Stand in front of your book collection, close your eyes, point to a title, and write it down. If you have shelves, point to your physical books. If you have a digital library, use a random number generator and write down the title of the book that corresponds with the number you generated. You get bonus points if you tell us whether or not you’ve read the book, and what you thought of it if you did!)

I spent most of my Sunday in bed finishing The Buffalo Hunter Hunter by Stephen Graham Jones. This is easily a 6-star read and it’ll probably be in my top 5, if not top 3, of the year! I’m honestly blown away by how much I loved it and how emotional it made me in so many different ways. It’s not an easy read but it’s more than worth the work to absorb and understand! Also, the vampire lore was just so freaking cool. I’m so glad I read this with Charlotte as we had a great discussion about it afterwards. I can’t wait to read more by SGJ soon!
