So, we’re back with another Top Ten Tuesday, a weekly meme hosted by Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl. This week’s prompt is: Books on my Summer 2020 TBR (or winter if you’re in the southern hemisphere).
It’s already June but also how is it still only June?! Thinking about a summer possibility pile of ten books is tough because there are so many I want to read and how do I even choose?! Since last year when I really got into the book community I’ve tried focusing my June reads on LGBTQ+ books because of pride, but this year is a little different. One because I have really not been reading as much due to Animal Crossing, but mostly because as a mood reader it’s already hard having any ‘fixed’ kind of list, but it’s become even more impossible this year when my moods have been as wildly unpredictable as the year itself. I could just list the blog tour reads that I’ll be doing but I decided to pick a random mix of books that have been on my mind and that my mood has been leaning towards lately, so there’s a somewhat *high possibility* of me reading them this summer 😂

To say that I’ve got a ton of eARCs that need to be read over the next few months would really be a mild understatement. Why do I keep requesting more books and why do I keep signing up for more blog tours after telling myself I’d take a nice long break from it for a while? *shrugs* I got problems. As fun as it’d be to list all those books here, there are a few others that have been sitting on my TBR that I’d like to get to soon as well, so this is my possibility pile for those reads!
Last year I decided to participate in the POPSUGAR Reading Challenge for the first time. I liked the idea of completing the challenge but I’m also 100% sure the reason I even looked at it in the first place is because of the cute and colorful list of prompts that they came out with. I’m sorry I just really like pretty things 🤣 That aside, I failed to complete it because I just wasn’t organised. I filled a spreadsheet with possible book options for some prompts at the start but gave up before I even really started trying. Bad panda 🐼
BUT I’m ready and eager to make this year different! I’ve not only identified many possible options for each prompt but I’ve even decided what I’ll read for a few of the 40 regular prompts. I haven’t started looking at the 10 advance level prompts yet though I’m not sure that I will this year!
There are basically no rules to this challenge. You can complete it whatever way you want and on Facebook it got a little ugly when people seemed to judge others for saying that they’d use one book for multiple prompts. It wasn’t a fun time 😒 Why can’t we just let people read whatever and however they want without making them feel like they’re “cheating” when there aren’t even any rules on how to complete this challenge in the first place? Sure, a challenge means you push yourself but it’s really nobody’s business but your own, isn’t it? #tea. BUT I DIGRESS! What I meant to say before going off on that rant is that I’ve made some bookish choices that count for multiple prompts but if I complete the regular challenge early (haha) I’ll go back to some of those prompts and choose a different book for it. That way, I’ll feel like I’ve pushed myself even more but I will also have happily completed the challenge in a relaxed and fun way without putting unnecessary pressure on myself. On that note, here are the books that I’ve chosen for some of the prompts. There’s still a possibility that these may change based on my mood but I’m going to do my best to stick to them.
Just like I’ll do for the ARC Apocalypse challenge, I’ll share a quarterly update for the POPSUGAR, which will only help to hold me accountable for my participation and so I don’t half-ass anything lol

I know I’m sounding like a broken record every time I say that 2019 was an insane bookish year but it really was. The number of bookish discoveries were plentiful, which makes choosing a focus for this week just a little tough. In the end, I decided to share a random mix of a very small number of my new favourite things!

I still don’t keep track as much as others do, but before 2019 I had zero clues. Honestly, I still don’t even know what or how I’d find books to read before then 😂 On that note, there are quite a few releases that I’m keen to get my hands on this year (unfortunately for me, I’m locking down on my spending this year so I’ll only be adding a select few to my shelves in 2020)! BUT since I haven’t really read books to go with the season, I’ve decided to just post my December Possibility Pile! This post might seem repetitive if you’ve read this post and this post already but I’m going to focus on 10 books that I really want to read before the year is out! Obviously, I want to read a lot more than these ten before 2019 is over, but I’m going to do my best to at least see these ones through. By now you know I’m a mood reader so this is going to be tough (maybe) but I’m hoping that December will see me doing these unread books a solid by getting them off the never ending TBR! This isn’t even including the books that I want to read for Task 3 of the #Triwizardathon either but I don’t know what I’ll be reading for that yet!
It’s the start of another month so that means it’s time for another monthly possibility pile! This November I’m hoping to also step out of my comfort zone (again) but this time with Non-Fiction November!
It’s not that I don’t like NF books, it’s just that a lot of the time the facts, figures and ‘plain’ writing makes it hard to concentrate. I wouldn’t go so far as to say it’s like reading a textbook but I usually find myself reading the same paragraph countless times and my attention strays very easily! But I’m hoping to give NF November a go because I’ve actually added a few NF books to my physical shelf and I’m keen to get them read (so they don’t linger untouched forever lol). November isn’t going to be as hectic for me compared to October but I’m not going to be too ambitious with my pile, plus I’m definitely planning to read other books to break up the NF reads too! So without further ado, here are the books that I’m hoping to read this month:

We’re well into our first week of June so this post is a little late, but I still thought I’d take the time to post my possibility pile for June, which is Pride month! As with many others in the book community, I’m hoping to read a lot more LGBTQIA+ reads this month in celebration. I actually had more diverse books about and written by LGBTQIA+ authors on my shelves (both physical and Kindle) than I initially thought. I’ve seen a lot of hype and heard a lot of praise for the majority of these books so I’m quite excited to dive in and finally tick them off my TBR list this month!
OK, is this list of 15 books entirely too ambitious?! Yes. Maybe. Ha! This isn’t even including the other non LGBTQIA+ books I want to read this month! But y’all, there are just SO MANY BOOKS and I’m not one to cut down any list, rather I’m known to add to them. Who knows, maybe I will be able to power through all of these books or a majority of them by the end of the month. Maybe I’ll retreat into my shell of complete introversion and embrace the increasingly dominant book-cave-dweller spirit in me to recover from all the work stress this month. It’s honestly looking more possible by the minute! But I digress, this list merely scratches the surface of the many amazing diverse books out there, many of which I know aren’t even on my radar yet. So I’m hoping you can give me some recommendations for more LGBTQIA+ books to read–your favorites, your most anticipated, even the ones you thought were just a bit of alright, but you think others might like more than you!
