Welp, I’m not actually reading much of anything at the moment. I started This is How You Lose the Time War and realised that nope, with my distracted travel brain now is actually not the right time to be reading this.

With the combination of exhaustion and being out and about all day, I haven’t read anything since coming to Japan, which I guess is to be expected? 😂

I don’t know if I’ll end up reading after this as I’m knackered and I have to get up early for my tattoo tomorrow, but if I end up reading, it’ll be This Is How You Lose the Time War by Amal El-Mohtar & Max Gladstone. I haven’t read much into this and I might pick up the audiobook to follow along to but I’m curious!

I’ll spend the rest of my Sunday in bed with Vespertine by Margaret Rogerson. This is the next Owlcrate book I’m reading with Leslie, Julie, and Ali. I remember how excited I was to read it when it was released and now four years later, I’m finally reading it! 😂 I’ve completely forgotten what it’s about and I’m only five chapters in but I am enjoying it so far!

I’ll spend the rest of my Sunday in bed with The Knight and the Butcherbird by Alix E. Harrow. The last time I read a short story by Harrow, it ended up being one of my yearly favourites! I’m keen to experience a new story and world by this author. I also love this cover so much!

I’ll spend the rest of my Sunday in bed with A Song for You & I by K. O’Neill. I love Kay’s graphic novels so much! Their artwork is stunning and their storylines are sweet & heartwarming. I don’t expect this to be any different and I’m keen to cosy up with it!

I’ll be spending my Sunday night in bed with Four Dead Queens by Astrid Scholte. This is the second Owlcrate group read I’m doing with Ali, Leslie and Julie! I’m not that far in but something about the characters or maybe the writing is just not working for me. IDK, let’s see how it goes!

I finished my last read yesterday and since then I haven’t been able to decide what I should read next. I picked up these four books to see if any of them stuck and while I liked the few chapters I read of each, I could easily put them down and not immediately pick them back up again. I can’t gauge my mood at the minute!

I’m not sure what book I’ll spend my Sunday night in bed with as I just finished Unhallowed Halls by Lili Wilkinson, the book I spent my whole Sunday with. I’m actually reading this with Chris and I’m sorry that I sped ahead but after the 50% mark, I needed to know wtf was going on and it snowballed to the end from there. 😂

I’m still trying to figure out my whole thoughts on it but it was a fun romp, that’s for sure!

I’m spending my Sunday night in bed with The Forest King’s Daughter by Elly Blake. Julie and I realised we’re on the same blog tour for this, so we’re reading it together! We’re not far in but we’re liking it so far although we have many questions. I’m keen to see where the story goes!

It’s another Sunday when I’m not sure what to read next since I finished two reads earlier today. I’m looking for something that’s more “vibes” so I think I might pick up another alien romance that a popular romance author/reader on bsky recommended! But I’m also tempted to start one of two ARCs that I need to read by early February. So let’s see which of these three fits my mood best when I get into bed tonight!
