Hello, hello and welcome back to another episode of WWW Wednesday, a weekly meme hosted by Sam @ Taking On A World of Words, which means I’ll be answering these questions:
- What did you read last?
- What are you currently reading?
- What will you read next?

Holy granola, how is it already Wednesday? I’m baffled that we’re somehow halfway through yet another week when I feel like Monday’s just gone. π Since last week, I only managed to finish one book. I’ve been reading very slowly as my reading time has been competing with gaming, anime, and a bit of work.

Paladin’s Hope (The Saint of Steel #3) by T. Kingfisher

I’m still sad that this was the shortest book in the series because I loved Piper and Galen. Even though part of me does wish that we got more depth and exploration of Galen’s character, I still really enjoyed his chemistry with Piper. Earstripe and the gnoles are probably one some of my favourite side characters everβseriously, Earstripe and his witty dry sarcastic remarks made me love this so much more (especially when he was being cheeky towards these two)! π€£ The ending had a bit of a shock reveal that makes it feel like a cliffhanger to a larger narrative that threads through the series, but I’m hoping that either we get more books or more answers in book four!

As I mentioned above, my reading has moved at a glacial pace, but I reached a point in my current read the other day that had me gobbling it up… And now I fear I’m too far ahead in my buddy read with Leslie! π«£

Right now, I’m thinking this might be my favourite in the quartet, but it’ll hang on the ending. It’s honestly hard to compare because all of the books are wonderful and I’ve genuinely loved all the characters (which is so rare?)! But I feel like there’s a bit more meat in this one.
I love the complexity of all the characters and the situation they’ve found themselves in is quite intense. Also, as much as I love Shane and Marguerite, I adore Wren and I’m so glad that we get to learn more about her! π₯Ή

Some buddy reads are coming up that I’m really excited about but let’s see where my mood takes me!

What are you currently reading? I hope you’re enjoying whatever book you’ve picked up, friends!

I’m currently reading What Could Possibly Go Wrong by Jodi Taylor. I’d put off reading these after book 3, and I couldn’t get on with book 4. But they’ve gone into KU now so I’m pressing on and enjoying them more.
In the last week I finished π₯
1 Outback Justice by Elle James & Kendall Talbot
2 The Depths by Yrsa Sigurdardottir
3 Her Cyborg Bounty Hunters by Susan Hayes
4 No Time Like the Past by Jodi Taylor
Quite a few coming up in the next few days. A new Barbara Erskine and Honey Phillips. Plus a few more St Mary’s

I feel ya about the slower reading pace. I was tearing through books earlier this month and now I feel like Iβm creeping along π
